We are having a "guac" off on Friday at work. I've never made guacamole before. Not sure if I will bother, maybe I'll just bring in a store bought one.

    It's not hard to make.

Before you pickup store bought maybe try a Mexican joint. There is a restaurant close to me that makes it fresh at the table for you. It's very good and you can have them spice it up anyway you like.

Get about 3 avocados, an onion, some cilantro, and a tomato. Mush the avocados in a bowl and lime juice, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, and chopped cilantro and mix it up and boom you got guac

I'd cook at home 3-4 times a week. But now that I am back to work that will go down immensely. Most nights now I will eat at work because I don't want to have dinner when I get home at 8pm or later.

No idea, was working when I went to work and when I got home it wasn't. I imagine it went out later in the afternoon as it wasn't scorching when I walked in the door. Sent the wife and kids to the in-laws while I wait for them to come over to fix it.

Man, I guess just crush a few beers on the porch or whatever before they come.

Personally, that's what I would be doing. If it's hot anyway inside the house I would just spend time outside until they came.

Today is the first day all summer we've had the air off, didn't get above 69.

It's been a coolish but definitely wet summer around here. Lots of flooding along the Lake Ontario shoreline.

Yeah, it's helpful they live close by. Glad they could get over there and be away from the heat.
