Seriously though. Every battle clip I've seen from Hacksaw Ridge looks made for TV-esque. Horrendous CGI and corny gore porn is the best way I can describe it. I don't know, maybe watching the whole film is different? The horse scene from Braveheart is more believable than what I've seen from Hacksaw Ridge, and it was made 22 years ago.
"hacksaw ridge makes saving private ryan look like annie hall" - richard lawson

I was kind of underwhelmed by the gore in Hacksaw Ridge. I guess it was overhyped to me. There was really only one part that stood out to me as super gorey, and it was so hokey and absurd that I thought I was watching Dead Alive for a second.
my intake of movies is limited to previews but I stand by my take that andrew garfield looks like he is in Simple Jack from tropic thunder in all HR previews

okay reportedly there WAS going to be a post-credits stinger for Logan, but now James Mangold himself has said there absolutely isn't one... at least in what we've come to know as in the traditional sense of those things. However he HAS said "there will be something more there"... don't quite know what the hell that means exactly. They haven't started shooting Deadpool 2 yet, they're still working on the script (and my man David Harbour possible for Cable! booyah) but if there's some other sort of X-Men related footage they would show, who knows.
I plan to see Logan one of the pre-noon showings tomorrow hopefully, anyone see a preview screening tonight to give some insight? Obviously I wouldn't want you to lay down blatant spoilers, but is there something to see there once we read the very last Logan credit name, where is it, what's the general gist, etc?
I'm REEEEEEALLY hoping
Charles doesn't die in this. I mean as fucking kickass and emotional as that "Hurt" trailer was, the very last bit seemed to be nodding a bit toward Logan and the girl burying a freshly deceased Prof X, and I'm thinking c'mon Fox/Marvel, would you really be that dumb, that if you have him die then imply it that heavily in the trailer? (well and for "Civil War" trailer, I was convinced Rhodey would NOT be killed off specifically BECAUSE they showed him seemingly totally out after a harsh crash to the ground, and I was RIGHT! well, he apparently can't walk upright with fancy Stark tech now, but still alive!
anyway, but then a couple days ago on twitter there was a posting that Drew McWeeny wrote after having seen it, and I'm brainfarting now on the quote, but it prompted me to reply to him saying "okay good, this says to me that Charlies likely doesn't die at the end of the film, which I was really hoping he didn't happen especially after 1st trailer", and Drew just sent me back like a "winking" smiley face, which I sorta took as a light head nod of, "nah you don't gotta worry about that".

I feel like the people that are telling me they loved it are trolling me, like when Bo and Casey made me think that there were 8 previous District movies that preceded District 9.
I watched 31 films from 2016, swiss army man was second worst after Eddie the eagle

that will be a tough one for the aliens to figure out.
Previewed Logan the other night. Was pretty much exactly what I was hoping for, in that it was extremely bleak, brutal, and bloody. I didn't quite love it as much as I was hoping to, but it's still a top 3 X-Men universe movie for sure, and worth a watch. Jackman was great, probably at his best as Wolverine.

Just re-watched Unbreakable for the first time in a few years.
Man, you talk about a movie ahead of it's time. If this got released today (in the midst of the Marvel/DC empire), it would be hailed as a masterpiece.

Love this. Forgot how awesome that 10 Cloverfield Lane trailer was.
Side note - is The Jungle Book worth the watch? I feel like it's gotta be. Still haven't seen it.

Nah. It'd still be a glorified prologue to nothing.
Was really sick this week and stayed home watching movies. Dr. prescribed some Hydrocodone cough syrup... watched the Conjuring, probably not a good idea. When the movie was over I thought my dog was possessed and needed an exorcism.
