bungled hitman was laugh out loud funny. there were a good 3-4 moments that were crazily unsettling though

    Wakefield - 2.5/5
Bryan Cranston is a very good actor but this movie isn't anything special.

saw dunkirk last night. from a technical perspective, it was an absolute masterpiece. truly just a marvel to watch - don't think I've ever had a movie experience quite like that before. at the same time, I don't know if I'll have any desire to ever watch it again.

I am pretty much the same way.....can't imagine it would have the same impact watching at home either and not on the IMAX screen.

I know they didn't write the story, but think about it in scope with another coen movie, fargo. chigurh represents pure evil and chaos. bell realizes that the world isn't meant for him (bell) anymore when something like chigurh can basically have free rein, when people (including moss) can just do such shitty things left and right

that's kinda how I've always thought about why there isn't a big grand confrontation. cause realistically, there wouldn't be

    Spiderman 7.5/10
    Dunkirk 8/10

Planet of the Apes probably my favorite film of the year so far. Definitely up there with Wonderwoman and Logan.

No, not at all. That was the entire reason I've knocked the movie since it came out. The 3rd act really weakened what was a really good movie up until then. On a personal note, it also didn't help that they went to "North Dakota" where I grew up and it clearly wasn't North Dakota. It was definitely Idaho or some mountainous area of Montana. The tallest peak in North Dakota is practically just a big hill, nothing like what they showed in the movie.

Disagree strongly. Weaving was great, Garfield was great, the girl was really seeet, and Vaughn was awesome. Everyone else was fine.

Mel is an amazing director. Goddamn shame he's a crazy drunk person.

There is more resolution in Mulholland Drive, a movie where you are literally asked by the director to decide which half of the movie didn't actually happen.

That movie is garbage, fuck No Country. Also, I love Bardem but I've never felt his performance was anything special. He has 2 Oscars in my eyes, but not for this movie.

Garfield was fine, other than a few moments (and of course, the accent.)

I had Hacksaw at #15 last year.
