seriously?

in two years it'll be $125, and up and up and up

this is becoming a joke.

Neil Young actually lowered the price for his Barclay Center shows, since the venue charges him less to play there.

    it's reflects a lot on how much they charge the acts to rent out the venue, with the Barclay being brand spankin' new, I am not surprised.

    than you have ZERO clue what you're talking about. Barclays charges bands less than MSG

    bands make anywhere from $250k -$500k more by playing Barclays over MSG

    hence why Neil Young actually lowered his ticket prices for his Barclays shows

    The average for all the DMB shows I requested this fall is $90 a ticket.

    The average for all the Phish shows I requested for NYE is $75 a ticket.

    Phish will easily sell over capacity to all four nights at MSG this December. They could charge $100 a ticket and still do this.

    Meanwhile, Warehouse has to implement a new policy allowing them to dump upper deck tickets to ensure that they don't get stuck like they did with lawn this past summer.

    Neil Young is also charging $258 for the better seats. DmB can't win ... if they charge $250 for the best seats you kill them because it not fair that only those that can pay and not "real fans" get the best seats even if there are some cheaper seats. If they charge evenly for the seats you bitch because cheap seat are too expensive. If they charged really cheap for everything then the scalpers are screwing them and making bank.

    If its too expensive for your budget then don't go. If management starts to see that higher prices are less profitable because people can't afford to go they either play small venues or lower prices! This price point management feels anyway is the best option to maximize profit this winter.

    The "best" seats aren't $250 - you get a GA floor ticket or reserved ticket, not that either of those sound like front row guaranteed. That extra cash is for the VIP feel only. Pre-show food/drinks and an "exclusive" tour item that may or may not be exciting... Can anyone say if the cost is worth the perks?

    In 5-20 (or whenever) years when they've broken up and are no longer playing together, people will regret ever bitching about 85$ tickets. We'll see more of "I'll pay 200$ at LEAST to see them play just ONE more show."
