i know the time is song time and not stage time, but do the math.
with 1 set, they come on around 820 and get off stage at 11. thats 2:40 of stage time. take out the encore break and the time between songs and you're looking at probably about 2:15 of song time. shows that are longer than that typically have encores that last until about 11:10-11:15. once in a great while they hit 11:30. this shows true in the amount of long shows in the past (not many), which i talked about in my previous post.
but with 2 sets, they come on around 720 and play for about an hour. so that right there brings us to around 1:00. they take a break until about 9 and come back on until 11 still. so thats 3:00 of stage time with 2 sets vs 2:40 with 1 set. take out the encore break and time between songs again and we're around 2:30. same as before, have the encore go until 11:15 and we're at 2:45 of song time, with the "once in a while" late encores that go until 11:30 now taking the song time total close to 3 hours.
so its clear that the 2 set format add about 20 minutes of song time to the show vs only having 1 set. the strictness of the curfew plays a roll as well, but it is not the only factor.
