If they are going to blow a game in the 9th can they at least do it when they are in the East Coast.

I honestly think the second half of the season will look much better then the first half of the season. Getting Jacoby, Crawford back. You gotta think what has gone wrong with this team can't get any worse. Gonzo has to start hitting for power (unless he is playing through an injury which has been brought up a ton lately). The biggest problem is the core pitching staff lacks a true ace, hopefully Clay, Lester, Beckett can be just good enough the rest of the season. I don't want them playing for the second wildcard spot I don't trust them in a one game playoff but the bullpen has been incredible, which I credit Bobby V with no one can micromanage a bullpen like that guy can.

If they want to make a run they should probably grab a starter but it needs to be a legit 1. They already have a bunch of 2-4 guys. So there is no use trading prospects for another one. This road trip has been tough. Lost 3 games by walkoffs brutal

Its going to take something like a Lester/Ellsbury for a legit 1. and I guess the cubs would want more for Garza then it took for us to get A-Gon. Plus looks like Yankees are #1 right now in the race for Garza.

I think I'd be okay with Lester/Ells being moved for Hernandez. Lester is probably the most frustrating person on this team with the talent he is capable of, and Ellsbury will probably be gone once he hits the market. Then have Crawford lead off which is where he wants to be anyways.

Hernandez would be a monster here, on a Martinez level.
