JJ at Alpine 7/24! He is not for everyone, but those that will be there will enjoy the show.

Yeah, I know how the seats work at Merriweather... it's my home venue. The last time he played there it was all GA: you either got GA pit, GA pavilion, or lawn. For that show, the same website had a seating chart that showed the GA pit up front with the rest of the pavilion being one being block (rather than showing individual sections) that said GA pavilion. Since the seating chart this time around is set up differently and actually shows the sections, I figured it may possibly be different, which is why I asked.

I wish I hadn't already commited to going to see DMB @ Citi... I'd rather see Jack at Merriweather then Camden. Ugh.

Yeah, I have the same problem. I'm supposed to be staying with my buddy in NJ from Thursday through Sunday to do the Citi shows, so I might go up Wednesday instead and see Jack at MSG.

Still got some 300 and 400 level seats. I picked up 4 cheap seats in section 407. Gotta save money somewhere

Was just listening to In Between Dreams today. This guy makes the same album over and over again basically, but I like it every time. Gotta be in the mood for him, but I like him. Looking forward to the new one.

I kinda got a network shaft on the presale today. GA Pit was gone and I ended up with 4 row X. Then I got a pair in row J... My buddy got pit, but he only got a pair, selfish bastard.

the single is okay. about what i thought of if i had eyes when i first heard it, and i love that album now.

i don't think he makes the same album over and over though... not at all! He's matured a lot since Brushfire Fairytales.

Got row J in AZ from presale today. not bad...

In Between Dreams is a really good album. But like you said, you have to be in the mood for him.

    Excited for the new album!

Not really much "action" on stage. They interpolate different covers into his own songs. The bassist "raps" during "Staple It Together" (well, he did when I saw him in Camden '08). There aren't the long gaps in between songs that we DMB fans are so used to. It seemed like the "shortest" two hour concert I've ever been to. He did a solo acoustic encore on his last tour too.

If I had to guess, he'll probably play around 7-8 songs from the new album. The rest will be mostly classics ("Flake," "Times Like These," "Better Together"), a couple of covers, and a couple of lesser known songs. Definitely a great show. It should be interesting seeing him inside this time (at MSG). I have a feeling it's gonna be pretty hazy that night in NYC.....

sleep through the static is pretty good

I have a dvd of live in japan and live at the greek

great documentaries, but just watching the concert on tv makes me go to sleep

I really don't like watching music dvds..I'm not sure why, but I think being at a show is more important
