Do not post your e-mail address here. Nobody is just going to give you an invite for this site that doesn't know you, so here is how you can get one. Its relatively easy.

Just follow these steps

Summarized...

Get an IRC client for mac or windows. just search google for one. i like Colloquy for mac.

Second, join the IRC server irc.what.cd port 6667

Then, enter the channel #what.cd-invites

In that room there is a link for instructions. Read them if you know nothing about music codecs, bittorrent etc.

Then go to speedtest.net and save the link from your results

When your ready... post this in the chat room

!queue (speed test link here)

You will then wait until they invite you into a room to answer 25 easy questions.

Then they will probably invite you.

I don't know about you but I picture a bunch of old men sitting in a smoke filled room reluctantly handing out what.cd invites to the lucky few that can answer the questions...

If you know basic torrent info, music types, etc. you'll do fine. You can take it as many times as you want. If you really want the invite, work hard on that test and just pass it. It's not difficult by any means.

deleted them by accident from my email. just read the link they give u. just scan it and use it during the interview as long as you don't take too long to answer.

I'm not going to give the questions out, but I will say that they do involve the various file types allowed on What and how they vary from each other, but I believe the questions vary depending on which interviewer you get.

In the IRC channel's topic, there's a link which gives about 10 links to various wikis explaining each type, so just study those.

Both what.cd and waffles.fm suck. Keeping passable ratios there is damn near impossible. Then again, it doesn't help that my ISP throttles my uploads. And there is no fucking way I am seeding for weeks.

I dont understand why this is so damn special? Its sounds like an application to an ivy league school. You can get music anywhere online, i buy vinyls to have the best sound quality. And any reviews about this thing sounds like its crap.

I think the 'special' part of it all is that its exclusive. woopdeedoo
