Honestly, no. I knew D&T would play some dates but I didn't figure they'd do full tours like they are. Doesn't really seem like an off-year to me.

Spoon opened an acoustic set in 2015, although it was Dave solo. (http://dmbalmanac.com/TourShowSet.aspx?id=453060240). It would be a great full band electric opener.

It just seems odd that he's doing all of this because people think he's burnt out. If anything, he's burnt out from the schedule of a tour.

well yeah... Gaucho is awful. I like Mercy both studio/live. Sweet is good studio too, and really should only be an E1 slot live.

They took out a good chunk of Boyd's solo in Seek Up along with Carters drum fill in Seek Up that ends Boyd's solo. On the cd Boyd's solo just ends and the band comes in almost out of nowhere, which actually sounds good. But that's not what happened live.

I'm assuming it was in connection with the protests of the Dakota Access Pipeline, probably why he played DDTW and also why it appeared that the woman holding the mic for him was wiping away tears throughout.

Exactly. It's disheartening to see people uninformed in general. But in this case uninformed that Dave and/or the band is on its way to playing state fairs and small clubs without being aware of Dave's convictions.

Depends how you are reading it, I was one of the original posters in the thread for that show joking about state fairs and farmers markets and thought it was cool he was doing the show
