My wife has been reading the kindle versions for a while now and hasn't mentioned anything. I'll ask her though. She got a hell of a deal. All 5 books for $20.

My wife read all of them on her Kindle with no issues. Also used the Kindle app on her iPhone with no issues.

im almost done my re-read of FFC. Honestly, I can't believe how good it is. I was so bored by the whole damn thing on my first time through, but I realize now I missed a ton of excellent characterization and foreshadowing. I think much of the reason I didn't like it was because of all the new characters- I hated the Iron Island stories, but they might be my favorite now outside of Jamie and Cersei

Iron Island storyline is great. I wish it was in the show. I guess it could be next year.

It very likely will be in the show next year. There's been info about casting for new characters and descriptions of them. It probably won't be exactly like the books but it will be there in some capacity.

yeah of course. theyve done it a lot and its always worked out. they have to consolidate for the sake of TV.

at this point in the game, theres no reason to introduce 2 fairly similar characters both fighting Asha for the same thing

Yeah that's what I've heard. Based on some of the casting descriptions it seems some of the characters would fit for that scene.

Very excited for what's potentially in store next season.

I'm not big into shows that have dragons and swords and shit, but I've heard a lot about this show from friends who aren't into that type of stuff either. I'm considering giving it a go because I hear it's very well written - and that's one thing I like most about shows, story.

Curious if any others who watch this show share my sentiments towards this type of movie/TV productions and enjoy this show.

No. Dragons and swords and shit are fucking awesome, especially a sword with some dragons and shit on the blade.
