    My boy worked hard and while he's always been in the middle of the pack today he made the top A team in bantam hockey.

    So happy for him. He had a great tryout and this is going to be a great team this season!

    This will keep me happy for a while.

    So the father of one of my HS friends reached out to me last week. He knows I like to collect Funkos (because I'm a loser, I know) and told me he works conventions for a company and wanted to send me some. Today a box showed up at my door with six of them. Really out-of-the-blue gift.

    Closed a huge deal at work that really makes my month and I've only been in the office a couple weeks this month due to some fun vacation. Nice send off to the weekend and a great start to the fall!

    Finally, a Black Bear Diner opened up within reasonable driving distance from home. Opened on Monday, went there Wednesday. Looks like I'll be gaining weight from eating there.

    Cleaned the bathroom and shower that my roommates and I share. It was disgusting and now it looks like adults use it. Also discovered all the shit you can do with Baking Soda. Love that shit.

    I want to add an upstairs deck above my yard one, that you can walk out onto from my master bedroom. My dad and I build the one in the yard, but it's just a simple 10'x10 flat deck extension off my concrete porch.

    I’m just happy I’ll have a 2nd level to let the dogs out from My office is upstairs as well as my mantown. Still gotta put a door in but I have to get some electrical and baseboard heating moved first

    Yeah, we thought we were gonna lose him 10 or so years ago (or at the very least slow him down a little bit)... he had throat and prostate cancer at the same time. I’m beyond happy that he’s still around and to watch him work is like watching a pro athlete. I don’t know how else to explain it... he just knows what to do without really thinking.

    Took a half day yesterday at work for sick leave. Been feeling crappy all week with a cold/flu like symptoms. Slept yesterday afternoon from 1pm-6pm. Still have the cold but I felt marginally better today with a lot more energy and starting to be able to blow stuff out of my nose.

    One day at a time.
