It's just so millennial
Don't get me wrong, I love Aziz and I love Eric Wareheim. The show is very good and very enjoyable. It just suffers from The Entourage effect. Everything is sunshine and lollipops

I definitely see this perspective. S2 to me was much more mature than S1. To me, as a millennial, I found it incredibly relatable. All the scenarios were things I felt like I had been in before. There are several episodes in S2 that just from an artistic perspective I felt were insanely creative storytelling techniques, (i.e. the first episode, the second to last episode).

They handle it very well. When you finish the season and start to analyze it you'll find it (presumably) very relatable to some relationship you've had before. That's all I'm gonna say about it to avoid spoilers.

S2 is nothing like that. The characters are much better and there was really only one episode that dealt with politics/current event issues (the Thanksgiving ep) and I thought for the most part they handled it well. To be "preachy" it was still pretty funny.
