I'm with ya on that one. Seven automatically ruins any run. I've tried like hell to get into that song but I can't do it. It really blows.

i disagree, the music is awesome, and i can understand the watchtower reference to an extent. it starts out mellow and then ends of exploding... but i really dig time bomb i love the studio cut and the live versions havent come up to par yet but i still think there is alot of potential for it to be an amazing live song as well

Man, some of you have terrible opinions on this album. (Granted they are YOUR opinions.) Let's just think about this for a second. The OP is correct - that run is amazing, even if Time Bomb gets skipped by me every other time almost. BUT, that doesn't necessarily slight the rest of the album - which is great, save Spaceman, which is just plain lame. That said, to those who think SMLAM is crap, then..... well I got nothing for you except a smack on my forehead at your delusions. Alligator Pie rocks - especially Carter. Seven is a badass track, unconventional yes, but severely badass and it certainly doesn't "blow". LITHOG is very good, no denying that, but I wouldn't say it's the best song on the album. That honor can only go to Squirm, which fucking rules, & is the best song the band's written since..... anything off of LWS.

Get Time Bomb away from any mention of a great run on this album. It's one of the low points personally for me. Especially knowing what could have been (and was). I still say they could save this if they started it out with that jam (seek up style) and then broke into the main song. As it is currently, it's just there.

I have to say that I enjoy most of the songs on the album, but Squirm-A. Pie-Seven are the three I keep coming back to. I am not so sure that Time Bomb and Baby Blue should be grouped with those though.
