that was cartel. they are a shitty band to begin with, and it seemed like they did it mostly for the lucrative benefits, the album pretty much flopped.....as they were expecting huge sales because Dr. Peppers put so much money into that campaign. bad idea, Cartel had like 30 days to record an album, if DMB were to go into a bubble with no material and record for just 30 days, the album would be absolute garbage, terrible idea.

They wouldn't go in with absolutely nothing. They have all of their road-tested songs.
But I agree, they aren't the type of band to get things in done in a short period of time. They need long periods of time to get anything good out of it.
Which is why I'm so excited for this new album

Yeah if i go to the main page and see "New Studio Footage" as the latest thread and see 25+ people view the sub-forum i get excited.

The worst part is that the link is still up there and there has been no news since, so it's still the #1 story. ARGGG

That's what I'm saying. We had a fake report, no videos, a bunch of interviews that just let us know again that, yes they are working on an album. And a few shows that had nothing new to offer

just watched it again... i am psyched. the fact that tim is there and he is getting to record with dave in private sessions ensures his input on the album. otherwise he is just kinda in the background, chillin.

also the fact he is sitting down at the end of the video comforts me, because he stands up during all the live shows

I think that stupid little guitar has produced the best songs DMB has written since You Never Know.. I'd take the whole damn album on that little thing! (which would hopefully mean no chance of Can't Stop appearing!)

There's been a definite turnaround in song writing in the last 2 years for the band and the best part is there's lots of stuff we haven't even heard! 23 days till the setlists start popping up and we know for sure

At the end he does, the rest of the vid he has the Veillette, and its been said by afew insiders hes been really using that little guitar.

I don't care what he uses, all I know is Shotgun sounded absolutely sweet in the video and I'm getting really pumped about this album. Anyone think they might push a quick release before the tour as a "surprise"? Just a thought.
