Still Want You is my favorite track so far. Love most of the songs, the only one I don't really like is Diggin' Up the Heart.

Both of those songs rank in the bottom half of the album for me. Still Want You has grown on me and may feature the best music on the album, but the lyrics are just so cheesy and clunky. Between Me and You and Lonely Town are my two favorites. The album as a whole is so much better than Flamingo.

ALSO…I get to see The Killers at Firefly Music Festival a week from Sunday!!!

Between You and Me is probably my second favorite track on the album. I think overall I like more songs on this album than I did on the first one. Still a little too early for me to say with 100% certainty.

I agree, Still Want You and Digging Up The Heart are two of my least favorite on the album. At this point Between Me and You is my favorite but that song gets stuck in my head all day every day like no other song I can recall. It's so annoying. It's so bad I can't fall asleep at night cause I can't get it out of my head.

Re: The Official Killers Appreciation Thread

After Firefly, I've now seen the band 12 times. Sunday night was a top 3 show for me.

    Mr. Brightside
    Spaceman
    The Way It Was
    Smile Like You Mean It
    Bling (Confession of a King)
    Human
    Somebody Told Me
    Bad Moon Rising
    The Bucket
    For Reasons Unknown
    From Here On Out
    A Dustland Fairytale
    Use Somebody
    Read My Mind
    Runaways
All These Things That I've Done

    Encore:
    This Is Your Life
    When You Were Young

Kings of Leon's Saturday night set was cancelled due to inclement weather, so The Killers decided to do a full cover of The Bucket and partial cover of Use Somebody. I also got my first ever setlist, which was especially nice given the uniqueness of the set.

I could not believe how good they were, I will be seeing them every chance I get.

Watched it live on Viceland. Great show with a tremendous crowd. I love that they've brought back Glamorous Indie Rock and Roll. The Interpol and Elvis covers were a nice touch too.

I was hoping they would play the new song they debuted in Ontario a few nights ago, but alas.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzaFv0LUEvQ

Sounds like a really promising ballad.

Hope to see these guys again soon. Saw them when they came through Raleigh in 2013 and they put on a great show.

Watched GOVBALLNYC on Viceland () as well. Awesome show. The Killers are a great "stadium" rock band.

New Single "The Man" available now on all streaming services! It's funky as shit, I dig it a lot.

    Full album out in September.

Meant to post this information when the song teaser and album release were announced last week. I like the song itself more than I would've thought based on the teaser, but that's primarily because of the music. Otherwise it features some of the same lyrical clunkiness that occasionally rears its ugly head in their song catalogue.

Yeah I agree with that assessment. Someone on Twitter just said the music sounds like the song "Stayin Alive" and now I can't fucking un-hear it.

I'm digging the new single. I remember a while back reading an interview with Brandon and him saying they wouldn't be satisfied until they got to a place where it got them out of their comfort zone and they were challenged and made a little uncomfortable with the music they were creating. And to me this sounds different, sounds unexpected coming from them. Battle Born was too easy for them. They could've made that album with their eyes closed (who knows, maybe they did). So hopefully they've pushed themselves creatively with this one.

You mentioned that the full album will be out in Sept, and in a Facebook live session Brandon did earlier today one of the questions he was asked by a fan mentioned a song called Run For Cover that is going to be on the album. Just curious where you saw that because I haven't been able to find any other info on the album other than the title. Have the release date and the track listings been announced as well?

Everyone wants another Hot Fuss, but trying to recreate that magic would be a disaster in the making.

The new album is titled Wonderful Wonderful:

    https://consequenceofsound.net/2017/...he-man-listen/

That article doesn't mention it, but others have referenced an anticipated September release.

All of their past studio albums have been between 10 and 12. Brandon's two solo albums also included 10 tracks each.

I'll take quality over quantity anyway. From what I've read/heard/seen/etc., Life to Come, Some Kind of Love, and Have All the Songs Been Written are my three most anticipated tracks.

10-12 is the sweet spot for an album imo. If the material is good, I'm never upset when a record is 10 songs.

They just played Run For Cover on Alt Nation. I really dig it. It's a million times better than The Man which is lyrically ridiculous. Run for Cover should have been their first single. off of this album.

Seeing them at Lollapalooza next Friday, and it appears that the next time I see them will also be in Chicago.

I can't find any active links of their appearance, but they performed The Man on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, followed by a 10 song set on the Las Vegas Strip.

Having listened to the full studio cut of Run for Cover, I like it a little bit more than The Man, but neither one has blown me away.

yeah, Run For Cover is solid, but the chorus should seem better than it is, idk something isn't quite right for me there. I actually think I like The Man better.
