I signed up for a 5k that's tomorrow morning and I couldn't be looking forward to it less. If it weren't a co-worker that I am running with, I'd just not show up. I literally haven't run in about two years and I'm supposed to run 3.2 miles? This is not going to go well.

Yeah... you know those cute filters you use? They have location based ones that you use all the time. They've literally always been tracking your location. You tapped a button saying you allow it. Nothing is different from then. They just put things on a map now.

Swim, surf, snorkel, scuba, kayak, fish, spear fish. All things I've done my whole life from beaches and bays. I can't think of a place I'd rather spend more time at than the beach hotel I was at last year on Hawaii unless it was a camp spot in baja. Younger me would prefer baja, older me definitely wants the resort but they're both great.

Snorkeling was incredible. 80 degree water and some of the furthest visibility I've ever had anywhere. Fish and rays were friendly and calm. Walk in snorkel for an hour, walk out, have another cocktail; rinse repeat.

Do you east coasters have warm activity beaches other than FL? Honestly no clue here. It might be the beach itself that's the problem, not so much beaches.

Not really irritated but sometimes you get screwed over by being nice.

So I was thrift shopping. Sometimes you can get a cool t shirt for like 2 dollars. Anyway I'm in the t shirt section looking around. I see this Vancouver Canucks t shirt. Thought it was alright but it was nothing I particularly wanted. If it would have been like The bruins, rangers, or the sharks or something I think I would have liked it a lot better. So I was thinking I'm probably not going to buy this because I don't particularly like it and I don't need it. So I was holding it and this dude comes over and ask what size it was.. I was like "man it's an XL" he's like "man, can I see that shirt for like a second?" And at this point I pretty much knew that if I gave him the shirt that he was going to walk away with it. I figured I was not going to buy it anyway so I gave in and gave it to him. He stands there for like a second like he was going to give it back then just walks away casually. I mean I knew exactly what the dude was going to do so it wasn't surprising, but damn what a dick move. I was probably going to put it back on the rack anyway. That's kid is probably laughing his ass off right now over how easy that was.

Out of curiosity where do you go to the beach at?

When I'm in Florida I see tons of Texas plates. Seems like a far way to travel for the beach.

Our mailman has either gotten lazy or fucking stupid. My fiance has been home all day with the front door open and the idiot left a fucking notice on the door for a package. It's medicine for our one cat for his eye. They've done this twice in the last week. Also, their handwriting is garbage and she can't read what the number is to ID the package.

I like the Florida beaches, on the Atlantic side (no point in going all the way to Florida to go to a Gulf beach) but I have to fly there. That shit's too far to drive.

Ocean boardwalks are tits though. I'll gladly sleep all day then boardwalk all night. Give me a bag of quarters and I'll fucking skeeball the shit out of the night for hours.

Well the the Florida gulf could be pretty nice! I think it's as good as any beach In Florida. Here's a picture I took last year.

Solid, I like Crank Arm and Boxcar. I've been to Coglins twice and it just wasn't for me.

Just looked at the images of Galveston beach and the water is just not as pretty as the Florida gulf.

But it's probably not worth a 12 hour drive for pretty water

Fucking shoplifters. Watched a guy tonight stuff two family packs of steaks in his jacket. He tried to get out the entrance only door when I came up from behind him and asked how he was doing. He quickly apologized, pulled the steaks out and offered to pay. I walked him to the register so he could be rung up. Both packs were a little more than $50. He only had enough money for one. He purchased the one package and left. Supposedly he came back a short time later crying that he had lost his cell phone. To my knowledge one wasn't found and even looked in the general area I confronted him and didn't find anything.

Matthew, in no means am I'm I suggesting you go to the Florida gulf coast. Im sure Texas has some nice beaches that are a much closer drive. I'm just trying to explain the draw to the Florida gulf coast. And that is the white sand and emerald water. That's why they call it the emerald coast.
