4/22 Jake Shimabukuro - Dr. Phillips center for the Performing Arts

Shimababukuro is soooooooo awesome. If you haven't seen what this guy can do to a ukulele I highly recommend it. He's amazing.

Scratch those two off the list. SweetWater 420 Fest is a lot of fun if you've never been. My first ever festival with multiple acts did not disappoint. Centennial Park in downtown Atlanta so you don't have to camp is my kind of fest

Crazy thing is, I'm flying to Raleigh for a wedding the weekend immediately before those concerts. So I fly up Friday, wedding Saturday, fly back Sunday, McCartney Monday, Waters Tuesday. I'll be sleeping Wednesday.

Saw Gov't Mule last night. Hadn't seen them in about 7 years. Wasn't a bad show, just at one point I got pretty bored with it and it never really picked back up.

I just copped $20 lawn tickets for John Mayer using Livenation's $20 ticket promo for national concert day. If you have AT&T, they give you an early access code to get the tickets: https://frontoftheline.att.com/

    MGMT sucks live, correct?

Considering going to a festival that they are headlining, but it might not be worth it if they are terrible.

    Holy shit. So bad live.

I saw them at a festival..they went on after Weezer. Weezer did a cover of a MGMT song better then MGMT did.

3/31 - John Mayer (was incredible)
    5/4 - Branford Marsalis Quartet
    6/16 - Dave & Tim
    6/17 - Dave & Tim
    6/20 - Dead and Co.
    6/30 - Third Eye Blind
    7/15 - Incubus / Jimmy Eat World
    8/11 - Goo Goo Dolls
    8/22 - John Mayer
    9/23 - Paul McCartney

Added some more shows. Got 2 tickets for Paul McCartney in Syracuse JUST before it sold out, literally all that was left were a couple seats people had expired the clock on claiming so they popped up quick. Was planning on going with my dad but he said that he thought my mom would love to go so he would sit out. There's no way I want one of them to miss though if they both want to go, so I'll probably end up staying out while they enjoy it

Keep an eye out for added dates. If you look at the calendar you'll noticed it's really spaced out. Last few tours he adds a second night when the first sells out too quickly.

I've heard they just don't put in any effort and don't even really play their popular songs. Did they play their hits at the show you went to?

If I can hear the 4-5 songs I like by them I won't really care about the rest - but I've heard they are super hipster and don't like playing songs people actually like.

I think they are coming out with some new music so I guess a lot will depend on that. Hopefully it's not as bad as their last album.

This was the year Congratulations came out and if I remember correctly they played almost every song off both their albums they had in order and alternating each album after every song.

They played well and I don't remember it being lazy. This was when they were getting huge a couple years after Kids so they could be a completely different band now. I love MGMT, but haven't listened to any of their new stuff go figure.

Sometimes it pays off living close to the Canadian border. With the $20 livenation promotion being $20 canadian for canadian shows, I was able to snag a ticket to Bob Dylan in Kingston for $17 USD and two to RHCP in Ottowa for $31 USD.

    Re: Your 2017 Concerts

Broke down and snagged a couple side stage seats off Stubhub for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers in Baltimore in July. I was a bit annoyed that this was the closest show to NC this year as I always seem to be able to catch them close to home every tour since 06. I do wish they would switch up sets night to night since they have the catalogue to do so but I'm pumped either way.

5/12/17 - The DMTB (I've never seen them before but this summer they are recreating full DMB sets and I get to relive my first DMB show 4/18/98 - looks like I get to relive the rainy weather as well, ha)
    6/4/17 - Train/O.A.R
    7/18/17 - Primus/Clutch
    8/16/17 - John Mayer

Thinking of adding Kaleo. They are playing at our Museum of Art on June 13th.

Saw Tom Petty last night. If he's coming near you, go! It was an incredible show with a lot of hits and a few "deep tracks" that made for a very fun show.
