Billions - Showtime Series

Anyone watching? Stars Paul Giamatti.

Seems pretty good so far.

I haven't yet. But I know who she is from guest appearances on a few shows I've watched. I was pretty happy when I saw her on the cast list.

Started last night, two eps in. I enjoy it. It's basically Homeland with finances. The first 8 episodes will set pieces for the last two (hopefully) having a big, payoff....with an obnoxious cliffhanger of course .

so, ya gotta figure there's no way in hell that Axe doesn't find out about Giamatti's fetish stuff, right? I guess maybe just a matter of if that'll be part of the surely big cliffhanger that'll happen at the end of the season.

I really like the actress that plays his wife, for anyone who's having trouble placing her, she played Rachel Menken in Mad Men, the Jewish department store owner that Don wanted to run away with.

I also like one of the main guys responsible for creating the show, Andrew Ross Sorkin. I think he wrote the original "Too Big To Fail" book.

She is also the wife from Sons of Anarchy. Took me a while to figure out how I knew her.

Shows getting good. I agree that the BDSM stuff will get uncovered and used against him. Theyre setting it up with the assistant recomending removal. The way he got around dropping all the shares of that telicom and coming back was bad. Ass.

Last episode was good. Anyone notice it was directed by Neil Labute? I still can't buy into the chemist from Breaking Bad's character. His happy-face goatee really bothers me.

I'm watching. Decent acting. Decent story. Keeps me curious, but kind of watch it with one eye open before I fall asleep. Not a lot of meat to the story. Very predictable. Like Wolf on WallStreet, but lesser, and not real or made by Scorsese.

Yes this. If they had of ended the episode before it wouldve been worlds better. That confrontation wouldve worked better in ep 1/2 next year

I just felt that everything was kind of left in a temporary state and those two talked like everything was permanent. Still enjoyed the season and look forward to how they approach S2.

For some reason I remember thinking very early on that this was meant to be a show that was just encapsulated to this one run, so basically like a miniseries. That it would just be the 10 or whatever episodes then that's it. And now, especially with how the season ended, I can't help the feeling that it could very easily turn to like if it doesn't indeed end soon, it'll start to feel like a lot of filler and stretched unnecessarily real quick.

yeah I agree with you. but then again, I thought the same thing about bloodline and this season looks pretty fucking awesome.

watched the finale tonight and while it was entertaining as always, I couldn't help but think that nothing was truly accomplished and the end of the season has us right back to where we started in episode 1. And kind of like Junior said, the plot is seemingly going to be redundant - kind of like prison break - how many times can you break out of a prison? And in this show, how many times can Chuck keep going after Ax?

Not backreading (I have 2 episodes left), but I just wanted to say I can't decide who the bigger prick is... Bobby and Chuck. Might be Bobby by a nose, but it sure is close. lol.
