Every airbnb is different, but most will give you a full refund if you cancel it far enough in advance. Look into that and then book another one that is just for 1 or 2 people

They all appear to be outrageous. Not trying to spend $500+ on lodging for 2 days in Nashville.

Just booked my flights. That's it. Tickets, Airbnb, and flights are all secured. I don't have a real job, so I have no one to ask off for work (other than, Allison, and she gave the OK.)


Flight gets in at 9:15am on Cinco de Mayo. Night zero could turn into a shit show. I'm going to have to find something tame to do during the day.

Hate to tell you, but if you are looking to stay downtown that's not bad for two days. Last October, Nashville had the highest average hotel prices in the country.

That's insane. I'm staying in a five star hotel in Vegas, which is one of the nicest in the world, for slightly over that. Sounds like Nashville is getting a little too big for its britches.

I had no idea either. I knew a lot of people drove down there from here and that they like to call it Nashvegas but that's all I knew about it. Hard to believe it's so expensive.

Looking out for people what we did was sign up for the Hyatt credit card from Chase. We have had one for years in my name but signed up for it in my wife's name. It gives you two free nights at any Hyatt worldwide so we booked the Hyatt place right next door which is $500 a night for free. We have had just about every credit card and in my opinion the Hyatt card is BY FAR the best value.... hint add an authorized user and you get 5k bonus points which is good for a additional free night at a category one property

I do this often, either for flights or free nights or just the cash. Usually once a tour I'll have free flights somewhere (typically gorge). Surprised more people don't take advantage of these, since they barely touch your credit

Try getting married in Nashville! We have a hotel block for our wedding but likely 90% of the people are going to be using airbnb.

There are about 4 areas where the housing prices are insane right now. We bought August of 2015 in East Nashville just before things got insane. Houses slightly bigger across the street are like 50-75K higher now. It was still relatively high and it seems like a bubble for sure but who knows.

A lot of developers are buying up old properties, knocking them down and putting up 2 tall skinny houses on the land.

No, I'm in Chattanooga. I've got quite a few friends who live in Nashville though, and the housing market is going through the roof as well.

Agreed, however, I thought since this was a more modern venue, it might of. Just trying to plan my Nashville debauchery accordingly and trying to figure out what time I want to get there and enter.

Technically it's Cleveland, but it's easier to tell people Chattanooga as most know it. Chattanooga is a great city though, and still growing. So much to do from outdoor activities, to the downtown area.

ah right on! it's an awesome city, I don't think I could ever live there again but it will always be home to me. Love coming back to visit friends and see how it continues to evolve
