Having never been to one, what's the crowd usually like? Is lawn ok or still to be avoided if possible?

Different crowd than a normal DMB show. More mature

Any tips from those that have attended Farm Aid before? It says the show starts at 12pm, so what time frame should we expect Rateliff, D&T, Mellencamp, NY, etc? Trying to figure out how this will mesh with coaching kids soccer that day. ;-)

Also, for those of us that live in the Hartford area, is there typically much success with the Warehouse presale and if so, are those seats any good (12/98 member)? Would we be better off with Ticketmaster?

    Thanks!

went to the 2012 Farm Aid at Hershey. Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real
Jamey Johnson, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Jack Johnson, Kenny Chesney were part of the undercard. They started, and I am guessing, around 2:30-3:00. There were other bands that started around 12:30 with short sets. Dave and Tim played after Chesney. Willie came out and sat in on songs with most if not all the undercard bands. Not much time between sets so the show moves along. However, Willie Nelson didn't come on until around 10:30 and it ended around midnight, maybe later, so it turned into a long day.

I did the Warehouse pre-sale and got around 15 rows from the stage on the floor, so they worked for me.

Definitely give it a try. I've never been turned down for anything in CT I've requested and I live in CT.

Bought my tickets through Farm Aid and was happy to get seats in Price Level 3 so I won’t have to spend all day on the lawn and can still afford a beer or two.

I doubt there is a pit. $280 are sections 100, 200, 300, and then the bottom half of 500, 600, 700. Not a cheap show, that's for sure.

Seriously. I saw the seating map, couldnt believe 500,600,700 were included in that price tier.

Pulled Tier 3 tickets today. Pretty excited to see Margo Price and Sturgill Simpson. Great lineup all around this year though.

    Yep same here

Probably a couple weeks if i had to guess. So - for Hartford, are these tickets for essentially Pit and Sec 1-3? I really hope so for that price....

Ended up getting 2 lawn seats. Not entirely disappointed I don’t have to spend $400 for a pair of inside seats. This will be my 3rd Farm Aid. Lineup is stellar as usual!

Probably 20+ times. I've only been to Farmaid once, however.

D&t will be like 6 or 7-7:45 depending on if they use a rotating stage
Later if so as they will not need as much time in between
