Exactly - I spent $250/ticket (and no - not scalped - that was face) to take my wife to see her teen-age sweetheart out here a few years ago.

He - go back to the Gorge thread. You're too fast for me to chase.

LoL I love how OP says I'm debating on buying tickets this year, sorry to burst your bubble there bud DMB won't miss you the concert's will still sell out your not that important. Long time Warehouse members have this misconception that the band would die if it wasn't for them. And OP you know your going to shows so no point in saying you may not, because I know and everyone else does that you put in a request for tickets.

85 is a lot imo. Especially when you consider that when you go to the bathroom or to get a drink you lose your seat.

I'm probably going to Citi Field N2 and I don't even know what I'm going to do. I need to decide if last row GA is better than a real seat. No way in hell I'm dealing with trying to be close to that stage.

I'm trying to decide about GA for N1, but that would actually require me to take the day off of work, which would mean 3 Fridays in July.

    Dear Dave,

Thanks! I actually did know that. However, because I am taking a Friday off to go to Alpine and a Thursday AND a Friday to go to West Palm Beach, adding A 3RD Friday to sit in the parking lot at ShittyField does not bode well for my future employment.

[quote=Dmbandcarter;10663750]After long review and thought I'm debating buying any tickets this summer. I feel completely abandoned as a seasoned warehouse member. 9 years I've had front row, 3rd center and 6th center but this year; I am completely disgusted with the band and its image. $80 for field standing this is a joke. The Warehouse and the Dave Matthews Band as a whole should be completely disappointed with themselves. They've completely disregarded their senior fans to attract younger crowds. That's awesome but you can't do it by forgetting about who got you there.

Sorry guys I didn't know where to put this at and couldn't find anything on it.
Point me in the right direction if this was already started. If not lets vent.

Have you ever thought that as members like you get older and have more income the band is also increasing there ticket prices to match not only the demand but the income of their most loyal fans? Face it, over the years prices have gone up as have the quality of performances so sack up and pay for the best live show you will likely see for the next 50 years.

as a first year warehouse member i am sorta pissed i even bought the membership. I mean theres no point in having the membership if i can just get the ga pit tix. it almost defeats the purpose of the warehouse which is to allow for dedicated to fans to get close.

If they really want to be front row, then they're gonna have to deal with standing.

In other words, deal with it. The only rip is it being 80 bucks. It's a rip for everyone. Like I said, ticket prices should be somewhat in line with what Phish charges.
I realize they're not doing it with the sole intention of screwing people, but they are screwing senior members none-the-less.

As to the bold, lets see:

Getting to the venue 3 hours before the gates open to sit in line, running to the front of the stage, standing up front after the gates open, through the opener, through the set change, all without going to the bathroom or going to grab a drink.

    OR

Tailgating and getting to the venue whenever the hell one wants. Walking in, scoping out the merch booth, grabbing a beer and maybe a snack. Walking to your reserved seat and sitting down before the opener (during if they suck, which they usually do) and through the set change. Not being crammed in with too many people because security sucks and everyone stubbed their friends down. Not getting beer spilled on me. Taking a piss if I need to or if they play WAYG and being able to come back to my seat/seat buddy.

Yea, what was I thinking? GA sounds MUCH more appealing. If I was a ten year member I'd much rather go through all that for a seat and I'd definitely keep paying $35 a year to do it.

You can leave and come back. Just say you have a friend and apologize. People do have to go to the bathroom and drink.
