Well I still saw you in the pool so you couldn't have been "stuck" in line all day

And you didn't sleep in the line, so there's that.

Hence the breaks 😊 And our roommate did sleep in line, for 2/3 nights!!! That's a little much, even for me.

WOW -- now that is dedication. I'm all about great seats, but that would be a high cost to be not taking advantage of the $$ vacation aspect. I've managed rail more than a few times, but sleeping on a chair outside is a bit much for me. Maybe after a few trays of drinks with friends I'd be thinking differently...

Is the rumor true that there's a year contract/ agreement between Dave and Tim/ DMB for Mexico?

I don't think the rumor has any backing

I run the Facebook group (god help me) and I've seen comments about a 3 year agreement, which is what phish is rumored to have... and they share the same management

Knowing CID I doubt it's a one and done but we'll see

Doesn't Red Light / Coran manage both DMB and Phish?

And if Red Light Mgmt is management... what does CID do?

CID puts on various festivals and destination getaway shows in Mexico, among other things

The Official company is CID presents and they built the venue and put together the various packages to Mexico for phish, Dave and Tim, and others like Luke Bryan (Crash my playa)

Gotcha. I knew they did the travel packages for Phish NYE, etc, but didn't know what exactly where they fit into the music business.

with the talk of possibly another mexico show getting announced in a couple weeks for next year, i really want to start saving for that possibility. Can people that were there offer their honest reviews how the crowds were (respectful and quiet during songs, obnoxious drunk etc), preferred resorts, what would you do different? After chicago this weekend, the shows were great but the crowds were as expected for a large outdoor venue

The crowds were a mix - it seemed like as the weekend went on, people got more loud and obnoxious.. N1 was great - N3, not so much.. BUT - it also depended on where you were. The beach area where the stage was, was huge so you could sit in the water, or hang back and get away from everyone. It was a great experience though, all around and I thought it was well worth the time, money and effort to go.

That's what it looks like. What I'm thinking is someone bought a bunch of blocks of rooms in advance which is why those dates could be full. They probably left a small amount of rooms for regular guests.

The original rumor in the 2018 thread said DMB in Mexico in February, and those dates seem to be almost booked up, so it jives with what the rumors have been saying.

If DMB is really playing there on those dates it means that the hotel/ management/ CID already pre-booked the majority of those rooms for DMB fans for that weekend.

Seeing as no other part of the month of February 2018 (which by the way is 7 months away lol).... this seems like a pretty good indicator

Maybe it's time to start calling some resorts in Mexico and see if they spill some info

I think you're a bit behind. They announced the Mexico shows for next year, and it's D&T again.
