So basically for two people, spend $4000 for hotel, show tickets, food, etc. Pay an additional $400-500 for RT flight. Total cost of package + 2 hotel flights, basically around $5000.

I must be getting older, because I am actually thinking of ordering this.

I am curious what the WH request numbers will be.

I think Dave and Tim are most concerned (rightly so) with increasing their performance experience. I imagine Dave will be taking the whole family.

Food is relatively inexpensive down there. We found a little restaurant in Playa del Carmen where 4 of us ate for $12 USD. I'm sure the food at the hotel will be fancier, but I don't want to go down there and eat a bunch of americanized crap. I want that authentic mexican cuisine...

I'm still tempted, but this is pretty overpriced.

I look at it the other way and say "I must be getting old, no fucking way i'd pay that. I've got other things I can spend it on."

I'm guessing most of you have never looked at other music trips/experiences. They are all priced like this.

You aren't paying for the normal resort and then a concert. A lot more costs and logistics can go into it.

And they can charge it. People will pay it. Phish, UM all sell out.

dumb. This is only a good idea if there are only like 100 packages. Not trying to spend $5k for an overpriced Sandals vacay paired with a spring break 1998 concert that's packed nut to butt.

But you're getting your worth of music with the other music experiences. D+T, and as of now D+T only, is a massive risk to not receive worth of cost back.

I just get that feeling that if someone were to go, and a tour gets announced, they would find themselves still buying tickets to 3+ dave and tim shows here in the states. Not exactly the most bang for your buck.

MMJ's is wayyyy much more affordable and you're getting much more music and such for your buck. This D+T pales in comparison to that. I wouldn't even pay this type of money for my favorite and only my favorite band.

I went to the hotel site directly, only $1,323 for all inclusive those exact nights. D&T are literally charging $3,000 for two tickets, three nights. For that price, I should be allowed to sit in a stool right next to Dave and let him know what he and Timmy should play next. And I want a burro by my side, just because.

It sounds like a blast. It's just that it's about double what my budget is for a trip, so there's no way I can swing it.

I do know that's what these things tend to cost, still doesn't change the fact that it's expensive though because of this...

I did the same thing. That's just crazy, but yes people will pay for it. As I said before, I get a week's worth of Disney World on the grounds, with food included for 3 people for the price of these 4 days for D&T.

Yeah there is a risk here. Even if they really opened up the catalog, there is a big risk for repeats which for $4k...there shouldn't be any.

Well, I know that I stayed at the resort right next door to the Hard Rock in January this year (non-stop flight cost approx. $650ish from NYC) this is a solid $2500 bare bones minimum trip pp with the cheapest boarding option as you can't buy tickets outside of these packages.

That's just too costly, at least for me, especially because when I travel I cannot just sit in a resort all day long.

If I didn't have to work I would be there without a second thought. D&T >> DMB these days and it wouldn't just be to see D&T. You're going to a beautiful place. D&T would just be a bonus, honestly.

I'm a big fan of Dave and Tim. I was in Playa Del Carmen last year and it is a beautiful area as well.

The cost is what really has me concerned. I'm still on the fence though.

It would feel like an extra kick in the nuts if they announce a small D&T tour (or any kind of tour/shows)

I think I'd rather visit a U.S. city for less money....

    .....but it's still tempting....

I mean, do you really think the only shows they'll play all next year will be in February in Mexico? There's no way.

I think this solidifies the likelihood of a D&T tour of some sort. They announce this first to get people to spend big bucks on the Mexico trip and then announce the tour around Thanksgiving and it'll start a week or two after the Mexico shows.

I think it is highly unlikely that they would play in Mexico and not in the U.S. at some point next year.

It's all the uncertainty around here that's got me ready to throw my money out the window. That's at least part of it, but I do love Mexico too. It's unlikely I'm going to try and go, but I would still like to.

I don't care if they said this was the last show Dave will EVER do no matter what, I wouldn't spend $4k on it.

I definitely envy those well off enough to be even considering this at those prices.

How does this solidify a tour??? How is this any different than NOLA 2014 or Oakland 2015?
