Absolutely no duds in 6/7, whereas 6/29 has several (Dreamgirl, Mercy, Hunger).
Was at both- 6/29 was better... hartford was unreal night it honestly was... but camden was the best show ive ever been to next to Central Park and MSG N2 2010

Interesting. What made 6/29 that much more enjoyable to you? I'm honestly curious.

I didn't attend either show, and if both were released as a Trax, I would be more inclined to purchase 6/7 based on setlist alone. 6/29 has several significant "skips" for me, whereas 6/7 is pretty much perfect straight through.

I was front and center both nights (attachments in this post); the crowd was 10x better and louder since there was no one in the lawn that night with the rain.

Most importantly, it was the songs that made it better for me:

    Drive In Drive Out
    #41
    Pig
    Typical Situation
    Oh
    Joyride
    Ants> Halloween

Look its hard to go against jtr, warehouse, idea of you, bartender, jane, liog, dreaming tree, rhyme... but again 6-29 was special.

There's a reason people keep talking about that night... definitely not taking away from Hartford (2nd favorite show that summer)

I'm just not seeing anything that special about the show other than Warren Haynes on 2 songs. It keeps getting brought up and I think I could definitely find shows in the past 5 years that top it. There are shows from 2014 that look better to me.
One of my favorite shows actually. I left that night thinking "damn, that was a great show." Just awesome start to finish.

Now this is tasty, MSG 09 not so much, looks like CVille without the killer encore. Had to be there, if anyone has to actually say that it's ballwashing bs.

Take out the shitty encore, and where would Charlotte '10 rank? Minarets opener into the Stone, Pig, Lie in our Graves, One Sweet World... Lover Lay down, What Would you Say, and Jimi Thing with Branford Marsalis... Too damn bad they had to close that show with Sister then Cornbread.

Totally agree. My buddy who used to hate DMB went that weekend with me and was blown away the second night. Top to bottom just a great, great show. One of the best Bartenders you'll ever hear too.

Still a great show. Just because some Ants don't like Cville 2010 doesn't mean it's an overrated show. Some just can't take positive reaction to a song that came after 2001. Id trade my Alpine 2012 weekend to have been at both C'Ville shows. It had to be special to be there.

no, you can't use that excuse.

many people who are always positive went to those shows and said they were very overrated, or simply not good.

It would definitely be up there. Just a great show till the encore. If they just added one great song after corn bread it would be in the discussion.

I just looked at the set scan for Charlotte 10 and Minarets was in brackets. I'm guessing they were still planning on teasing it. Also Stay was planned after Corn Bread. That would of made the encore not suck as bad.

I think you're referencing Alpine N2 2012, and they're all talking about Randall's N2 2011. I could be wrong, the thread was somewhat difficult to follow

Either you're so ridiculously biased towards shows you attended or you honestly have no clue what makes a show great. It would probably be best for you to step away from the computer and stop posting on this thread.

WTF are you talking about? No one has ever said either of those shows were 'simply not good'. I know people born and raised in Charlottesville who have been with DMB since the Trax days that felt both of the shows were outstanding.

Some people went into that weekend with unrealistic expectations and therefore left disappointed. That doesn't mean they were not great shows. If you want to argue that MSG was better, which you've been doing since 2010 because you were at MSG and not C'ville, whatever. But to say that either C'Ville show was simply not good is beyond laughable.

Gorge 14 n2 I had a blast. Gorge n1 was pretty good. If you only went to those two, it's not unreasonable to has had a good weekend.

Some people went into that weekend with unrealistic expectations and therefore left disappointed. That doesn't mean they were not great shows. If you want to argue that MSG was better, which you've been doing since 2010 because you were at MSG and not C'ville, whatever. But to say that either C'Ville show was simply not good is beyond laughable.
i was at both msg and cville... msg n2 beats every show that tour in general by a lot... as far as cville is concered:

    1) Night 1 was a great show... great song selections and placement

    2) Night 2 set was very weak... where was the stone, pig, best of whats around? got can't stop, pm into satellite, cornbread, eh hee

    3) long black veil in the set was a great surprise and the encore like everyone else has said was one ill never forget..

but n2 was not a "great show".. it was more of a "fun show" because of the situation of the band (going into a hiatus year)

You can pull the duds from C'ville N2 and still have enough show left over for a great set. MSG had Blackjack, Time Bomb, You and Me, and Sister, so sorry if I fail to see to see the epicness of that set.

edit: I don't consider that Cornbread with Trombone Shorty a dud, unless MSG folks want to consider Everyday with Vusi a dud.

On paper they look better than average. I can see how being there, at the time, would make them best of all time.

Not sure what drives certain Ants to keep foolishly asserting the MSG N2 was so superior to Cville N2. It's really making you look silly.
