As awkward as this may or may not be in the roommate context, if anyone was wrong it was her for NOT asking you to make it a foresome in the first place.
So, no...she has no right to be upset, and no, you should not apologize. You should, however, discuss it with her like an adult. Why is she angry? Are they poly or something?
I had a roommate who was nice enough to invite me to run a train with him on this girl. It was just too awkward. He now has HSV-II. Probably worked out for the best.
