Am I interpreting something incorrectly, or is a standard ticket for the Copenhagen show really >$100?

HELLO! We are doing a cruise out of Venice in October, it returns to Venice on the day of the Milan show! Tickets booked yesterday. CAN. NOT. WAIT!

We were looking at trains from Venice to Milan, but it's my understanding that flying might be cheaper and faster -- any advice? We'll have suitcases (from the cruise) to consider.

    Re: *** Offican Europe 2015 ***

Just wanted to say a couple of things:

    1. If you are doing Lisbon and have a day in the city and don't know what to do, check out We Hate Tourism Tours. I know, I know, a tour..... But it was incredible. We did a day tour on a cruise stop a couple of years ago, and it was HANDS DOWN the best city tour we have ever done. Very non-touristy stuff, they are happy to personalize the tour, and the guides are EXTREMELY passionate about their city. Ricardo was our guide, he was one of those people who you are instantly best friends with. We did a tour of Lisbon, and he also took us out of the city to Sintra and Cascais. If we were ever to get back to Lisbon (It's on the list! It's one of my favourite cities I've visited in Europe so far!) we would absolutely do another tour with them.

    2. Someone upthread commented on the prices for the tickets in Copenhagen. Have spent a day in Copenhagen (also a cruise stop) and the prices are CRAZY there, so budget accordingly. Everything is very expensive. Sure we were playing tourist, so keep that in mind, but we spent more than $100US on lunch for two people that consisted of a club sandwich, a salad and a couple of beers. A coffee and a pastry ran us almost $30US.

I've not been, but I have friends and family who have. Here's a pretty comprehensive list of the cost of travel for a 3-star traveler. Amsterdam is pretty high up there.....

    http://www.priceoftravel.com/2427/eu...raveler-index/

With a little bit of research, ANY city can be done for relatively cheap once you have your travel and accommodations set. Grocery stores for picnic fare instead of eating out, public transit (which is generally excellent in Europe) instead of cabs, that sort of thing.

When our cruise ship stopped in Stockholm (for 2 days) we picked up a city pass which gave us full access to public transit as well as entrance to many museums. Lots of cities have these cards now, and are a great value if you do some research.

i have never been to copenhagen, but have spent plenty of time in Amsterdam, with the munchies, and food costs have never been anything close to as bad as the examples posted for Copenhagen.

Id say Amsterdam is one of the more affordable cities in Europe.

I would agree with this. Plenty of reasonable places to eat in Amsterdam if you do the research. Don't just walk around blindly and end up at a touristy eatery. And if you need to fill yourself, hit up one of the Fries stands, of which there is one excellent and famous one, and for under 5 euros you can get a meal's worth in a cup with a couple of flavorful sauces to dip in.

I found Copenhagen a little bit pricier, but again, with some research, you will find plenty of regular places to get a not overpriced meal. It was one of my favorite cities in Europe, and hopefully I'll make it back for the show later in the year, which is my plan as of now.

A little bit of research is totally key!

I don't know about anyone else but I had a heck of a time dealing with ticket orders. I actually decided to nix the Europe leg. I'd love to go but felt a little overwhelmed with the process.

I have tickets for Amsterdam and Paris. Zero issue with the Amsterdam ones. Paris was a little tricky because the site is in French, and google translate didn't work the greatest. A little research into what I was buying, and hoped for the best!

What shows are you trying to get?

Yes I tried for Denmark - same thing, google translator did not translate. I'm glad to hear Amsterdam went well. This is going to be an incredie set of shows. I hope they put Europe on the tour more often! I hope I receive my bonus. Amsterdam and Paris...yes please.

Many people going to the show in Dublin? Would love to meet up with some people, i'm going with a friend of mine who's a casual fan. I'm extremely excited, this has been about 6 years in the making, I was just a little too young to go to the 2010 Dublin show on my own. Should be interesting to see the type of crowd, I remember last time a lot of people said there seemed to be a lot of American students there. Another odd/fun fact is that this will the the third time the band has played this venue, and the name has been different each time: what was the Point Depot was rebuilt and renamed to the O2 Arena, and is now the 3 Arena!

I have 2 tickets for all four of the Italy shows and an unable to go. I am selling them for $200 a pair. That is less than what I paid for them as I am willing to eat the fees I paid. Please email me if you are interested @ lapetch@yahoo.com

Just purchased my Dublin tickets! This will be the first time in Ireland for my wife and I, cannot wait! Real good seats still available on ticketmaster Ireland. I was able to get 15th row, lower tier just now. If anybody has any recommendations for hotels central to this venue, the Dublin Castle, and National Museum, I'd appreciate it. Also can't decide if I should do a guided day tour whilst in town, or just take the train out somewhere on my own. Really want to see some of the Irish countryside, and I'm huge into history. Please let me know if anyone has any thoughts, thanks!

Just bought 3 tickets for the show in Berlin. Can´t wait! Haven´t been to a DMB show since 2010 in Stockholm. Besides, Berlin is always a nice city to visit.

First of all, Ireland is beautiful. People are great. The drinking is good.

What were you possibly thinking about doing in regards to tours or if you did it on your own where were you thinking about going?

I went to Ireland in Oct 2012 for a friend's wedding and spent 10 days driving the coast of the country, ending in Dublin for a couple of nights. I may be able to make some suggestions .

Well, my summer tour season is over (wooooomp woooooomp) but, have Glasgow and Dublin to look forward to and cannot wait!

I love when I don't think too much about things and just book a flight to go with it!

    Yahoooooooo!
