Yeah this is true at my school as well (I have never cited a case in an exam unless specifically asked to), but I still outlined by topic and cases. I find it helpful to be able to look at the facts that led up to the case to work through the practical application of the rule. For instance, you mentioned International Shoe, and while the minimum contacts rule sounds all well and good in theory, when faced with a fact pattern that could go either way (like any exam will. It's NEVER a cut and dry answer), I liked being able to recall how a court may have worked its way through the problem to help me justify my answer. As I've tried to point out in every post I've made like this, this is just my personal opinion and preference and is what helps me learn and master the material the best. Do what works for you!

Does anybody know if applying to the same law school where you do your undergrad at affects your chances of acceptance? The college I am at also has a great law school (Loyola). Did anybody/ anyone you know do this?

This must just come down to school preference. I know that Florida seems to turn away a lot of its undergrads, evidenced by a lot of those Gator assholes in my class at FSU. I can't say how FSU is, but I think it's peculiar that UF turned a lot of them away and FSU took them in, as the two schools have virtually the same acceptance criteria.

and to add to what i said above, that memo was 20 fucking pages and the bane of my existance and i no longer care about indian children or the indian child welfare act and did i mention that i'm planning a wedding right now too??

I feel ya. Ours lives are eerily similar right now. I have 3 finals this week, 1 next week, my 30-page upper level writing paper due next week...and my wedding Dec. 20, across the country, no less.

What school are you at? I have a friend who's a 1L this year at Cal Western (I believe that's the school)

LOL my wedding is across the country as well...but not until next summer.

I'm at Thomas Jefferson...less than a mile from Cal Western. Ironically, less than a mile from USD too

Man, I could have made that paper 30 pages easy. I was up to 22 and had to painstakingly cut words and sentences where I could to get it under the limit.

This.....is not my most fun week ever.

TJ law school has ridiculously low tuition compared to your average law school. You'll make out like a bandit.

Nevermind, they have it by semester on their website.

Same format as mine. Then I have until that next Monday to keep studying Civ Pro which counts as 2/3 multiple choice and 1/3 essay even though there are only 40 MC questions. I round it out 3 days later with an all essay Crim final.
