Chairs, Blankets, I usually get away with snacks but NO beverages! Empty bottles only that you can fill inside the venue.

General can be madness, if you're up for it then it's fine. Otherwise you should be able to grab premiere/terrace or wild horse camping on the boards/craiglist sometime between now and then. My other suggestion is looking at the rentals in Sunland, it's a little vacation township a few miles away and a fun place to stay the weekend.

Good Luck!

from what i've heard - this coming from a fellow newbie - there will be camping passes for sale popping up on the boards. i have an extra premier pass (i was lucky enough to snag a terrace pass during the citi sale) if that interests you.

What's on the web site and what the white and yellow shirts enforce at the gate aren't usually the same, unfortunately. Even if you show them a printout of the policy they're supposed to be following...

what's the Gorge camping experience like (vague question I know)? i'm equally psyched for camping as I am for the shows! I haven't camped since I was a kid and that's pretty sad since I lived in CO for 5 years and have lived in the Gorge for 2.

check out some gorge vids on youtube. the lawn section actually has a great view of the stage and a breathtaking view of the river --- so I would assume section 202 doesn't suck.

Really, so even though it is sold out online you don't have to have a ticket to get a spot on arrival?

I haven't had to pre-pay for a pass in two years. Just follow the signs for premiere parking and pay cash at the gate.

there's a difference between premier CAMPING and premier PARKING. which are you referring to? Emily's answer was about PARKING. there is no "show up and pay" for premier camping. if it's sold out already, you'll have to watch the boards for a pass.
