It was time for some answers, and you can cover so much more ground by discussing the Shadow King and his motives in the stylistic fashion the show depicted.
The silent film portion with dialogue intertitles and all is amongst my all-time favorite television scenes. Give Aubrey Plaza all the awards.

I do want to say this, the chalkboard scene was incredibly accurate when comparing to the comic book storyline between Xavier and Shadow King. And I imagine they had to do it that way. That storyline had to be established and that seemed to be a good way to do it. Plus, it was probably cheaper than actually creating the battle between Xavier and Shadow King, plus you'd have to find/cast an Xavier, or use one of the existing Xaviers, which would cost more money. I imagine this was a cost saving measure to get the story out there and explain the history with Shadow King and Xavier.

It was incredibly well done. Other than the writing and storyline itself, the cinematography of this show is on a whole other level. This show should receive some nominations and/or awards for visual style. And music, because the mixing/selection of various tracks really adds to the depth of the show.
