Well I was obviously not being serious. Hard to win a SB when you're a blob.

Back when I posted that Rodgers was getting sacked a lot. Part of it was the O line, and the rest was Rodgers holding on to the ball too long. Unlike the Bears the Packers addressed both things and they are not a problem anymore.

The funny thing is, Bears fans around here say "OMG Cutler gets sacked all the time. He's getting all jumpy and gun-shy" but over the last 3 seasons Cutler was sacked 98 times. Rodgers however was sacked 115 times. Rodgers hasn't let that affect him. I feel that the sacks have become a convenient excuse for Cutler's underperforming. I think it has a lot more to do with the team's lack of adddressing the receiving talent.

I'd like to change my answer to Mitch Trubisky.

Talk about going in two different directions. Cutler was on the rise coming off a Pro Bowl for one of the NFL's best offenses in Denver, and Rodgers took over a team that went to the NFC Championship game and wound up 6-10. Since then no one has been better then Rodgers (not even Tom).

Honestly I question Packers management for only getting 1 ring with this guy (so far) because he should be the GOAT when it's all said and done.

hard to say Rodgers has been better than Brady, with the 2 SB wins and 3 appearances

It's a tough call overall. Cutler is better physically speaking, Rodgers might be a little better decision maker at this point. Cutler has a better O-line and RB, Rodgers has much better wideouts. I'd honestly call this a wash.

One thing for certain is that both of these guys are gonna be very good for the next 8-10 years and it's going to be fun to watch them duel, especially since they are good friends off the field.

Yes, the Packers O-Line is awful, but Rodgers was at fault for a number of those sacks the other night because he doesn't make the snap throw and stands there waiting for things to develop.

"Potential" I think they are even. Cutler, in my opinion, has more talent though. The guy's arm is off the charts. His pocket awareness is fantastic. While Rodgers buys a little time in there, Cutler avoids the rush time and again and can deliver a ball just as he's about to be hit because of his release time.
Cryptic how correct he was about the potentials of the two quarterbacks.

When I saw this thread get bumped, I just clicked on the last page without seeing who started the thread. I thought to myself as I was scrolling to the last page, what dope thought this would even be close and be thread worthy...then I realized I was the dope that created the thread.

Rodgers has been and will be--unless the Packers do another HOF QB after him--my favorite Packer and player to watch. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching Cutler struggle for many years in Chicago and Rodgers all the while has been setting the gold standard for QB play.
