Re: Minnesota Vikings

Norv resigned today. Wonder if that was his own doing, or given the option to step down rather than be fired (it must make some sort of difference). Not sure he'd just up and leave on his own, unless even he doesn't want to deal with that single ply toilet paper the team calls an o-line, and have blood on his hands for the eventual death of Bradford.

Norv told Ed Werder that he and Zimmer had different views on the offense, but it doesn't seem like Zimmer was expecting it.

WTF happened over the BYE? I know injuries are finally catching up but Jesus we suck on Offense, Defense and Special Teams. I'm normally really angry after a loss but now it's just funny. The Lions in first place, really?

There been any news about the status of Blair Walsh? Figured to see him walking out to his car holding a box of his possessions today.

I want to believe his conversation with Speilman went something like Rick Vaughn thinking he had been cut in Major League.

"I got news for you Mr. Spielman, you haven't heard the last of me. You may think I'm shit now, but someday you're gonna be sorry you cut me. I'm gonna catch on somewhere else, and every time that I kick against you, I'm gonna stick it up your fucking ass!"

As expected, team is not picking up Peterson's $18M option. Is this the end of the era that began this thread?

some college kid who was like 2 when the 98 championship game made a documentary on the vikings last 20 years that's going to be posted to youtube tomorrow.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcQn2Dj7PQU

probably best to watch it sooner than later as i'm guessing the nfl might have something to say about the footage used.

    Thoughts on the draft?

After watching what unfolded with the 1st round, I'm actually kind of glad we didn't have a pick in that round. Glad we weren't forced to overpay/chase/jockey for a QB...like the Bears.

I like Cook and the best center in the draft? Not too bad.

They definitely got better on the offensive side of the ball. The way people are talking, Cook might be a steal of the draft.

The barometric pressure on the optimism meter plummeted after yesterday. This team looked like poop on offense yesterday without Bradford.
