I think the proper answer to this question, or how I would answer any London derby, would be a 0-0 draw with lots of red cards and injuries.

United are in injury nightmare anyway. I want them to win the derby so badly, but I imagine the out come will read Shitty 2-0 or 3-1. United may surprise, but I doubt it.

Jose could very well try and park the bus and try and get the 0-0 draw too. That way they stay close to top 4, don't lose more ground and just move on to the next game.

If there is one thing going for ManU today... their away form is much better then at home. And Shitty's home form is not good. But all the don't mean crap when it comes to a derby.

Is Aguearo good to go for this match? Last I read he was doubtful.

Aguero is playing and so far is the most threatening player on the pitch. Herrera should have buried a header on a set play towards the end of the half. He tried too hard to guide the ball in near post, when all he needed to do was make contact and put back across goal and it could very be 1-0 ManU.

Yeah, you called that. Neither team wanted to try and seize the moment. Oh well. Glad I was at work for most of the game.

Me thinks that today's result will be the ultimate reason ManU don't make top 4 this season. They had it there for the taking, even with a little referee help, and still could only manage a draw. In reality, the free kick that tied up leading to the draw was a fair result for the game. However, ManU SHOULD win that game.

There are 4 EPL games left on the schedule:
    Spurs (A)
    Arsenal (A)
    Southhampton (A)
    Crystal Palace (H)

In reality, I think Manu will be lucky to go 2-1-1 in that stretch, with wins against Arsenal and Southhampton. If they steal points versus Palace with it being the final game of the season, or heaven forbid draw with Spurs, then maybe today won't look so bad. But with the injuries mounting, and two Europa matches over the next two weeks, going to be a tall task to get max points in the EPL games.

Re: ***Official Premiership, FA Cup, Carling Cup, Champions League etc. Thread***

0-0 at HT and the local Chelsea fans at Brit's Pub in downtown Minneapolis were quiet, if a little restless. The prospect of needing to cheer for an Arsenal result later that morning was both revolting and we knew deep down, a fool's errand. Everton had started the game well and we were lucky not to be down by a goal inside 2 minutes. Chelsea got themselves into the game but the final pass and finishing left a lot to be desired.

I could sense my people needed a calm and steady voice. "We're fine. Everton aren't getting the ball up to Lukaku and eventually, we will get the final ball right. Keep the faith."

An hour passed and still 0-0. The announcers started talking about how Chelsea had not played to a scoreless draw in a decade. My nerves got the better of me. I moved from my normal position at the end of the bar to the other side of the room. A couch next to the fireplace is my go-to spot when a change of fortunes is required.

Within 5 minutes the stars aligned and the football gods introduced the power of 10 men into the weak leg of former Barcelona star, Pedro. "Burrito" sent a thunderbolt past Maarten Stekelenburg that rippled the top of the net. An explosion of joy, relief, and sheer disbelief echoed around the pub. It was the moment we knew was coming despite the evidence of our chewed off fingernails.

Chelsea kicked on from there and the rest of the game felt academic. The Blues continued applying pressure and when the Captain, Gary Cahill, bumbled home the 2nd goal off a fine Eden Hazard free-kick, the celebration had changed from one of "Thank goodness" to one of "WE'RE GOING TO WIN THE LEAGUE!!!!" Costa, Cesc and Willian combined to give us a flashy 3rd and it was all she wrote.

Chelsea stared down their final big test and passed with flying blue colors. From here we play soon to be relegated Middlesborough at home, West Brom away, Watford at home and relegated Sunderland at home. Two of these 4 teams must take points from Chelsea in order for Tottenham to even have a chance.

    Fat chance.

Chelsea, by far, have the easiest run in of the top 6 teams, 3 of the last 4 at home. With that said, playing teams with nothing to lose can be pitfalls too. West Brom is always a tough test, and Watford will have that derby feel. Sunderland and Boro, on paper look like easy games against relegated teams, but why not play the spoiler since they won't get the chance next season.

Nice win for ManU today. A second away goal would have made things a little easier on the return leg, but not looking a gift horse in the mouth. One step closer.

I was back in London this past weekend. Took in the Chelsea/Boro game of course. The atmosphere was predictably celebratory. I was confident of a win but couldn't believe how little fight Boro had in them in a game where a loss meant relegation. Credit to their fans though. They went down in good spirits. They had a lot of self-deprecating songs. When the Chelsea fans chanted "We're going to win the league!" the Boro fans would respond with "We're going down!"

I will say that I'm getting pretty good with doing London trips at their most economical. As with anything, you live and learn. This last trip, however, was so quickly planned it was on the expensive side.

Well, that was a nervy end to a game. Talk about doing just enough to get through. Ajax v. United for the title. Ajax has already qualified for UCL though their league (they will still want the trophy), so for United this is their shot at UCL for next season.
