Temple of Doom, FTW. My favorite as a kid. I've seen it probably 1000 times. Fan of the whole original trilogy though.

I watched them all right before the crapfest, Indy 4, came out. Just as far as story, adventure, character, humor....Last Crusade just absolutely nails it.

I would never call Temple of Doom terrible. It definitely missed the mark, but it was still fun.

It was no Back the Future 3, that's for sure!

I went to a movie in the park on Saturday and Raiders was the movie showing. I inform the girl I was with that his name wasn't really Indiana using that line and she did not get it.

Crusade has always been my favorite. Ford and Connery's chemistry is simply unrivaled - I can't think of a better father/son pairing in cinema even including The Godfather in this discussion.

never saw it. i had a suspicion that it would be garbage, and didn't see it on opening night (Star Wars prequals ruined my opinion of George Lucas). after hearing a few reviews, i was happy with my decision. i won't even rent it, i just pretend it never happened.

I honestly think Indy 4 gets a bad rap cause its popular to think so. While it did have some unforgivable moments, people complain way too much about it.

For instance, was the myth of the aliens building the pyramids and being viewed as gods really that insane? I mean, I think its along the same line of ridiculousness as a knight from the crusades guarding the Jesus cup for over a thousand years or a bunch of ghosts flying out of the arc of the covenant and melting peoples' faces off.

I wouldn't say Skull was so much a culmination of facepalm moments as it was so much that every scene had absolutely atrocious dialogue, awful comic relief (a major step down from Crusade which fired on all cylinders in that respect), or they were just utterly pointless.
