Any idea what time the parking lots would open at? A lot of unknowns with a new venue...

I'm not sure what time the parking lots will open, I'll try to find out and post it. The venue is in downtown Charleston so there are plenty of bars/restaurants around where you could hang out during the day before the lots open. Or you could hit the beach!

I have no idea how accurate this is but wikipedia has the capacity for this park listed as 6,000. Im guessing they could fit another 1,000 or so in the field for GA but I might be way off on that. What do you guys think?

I saw Jack, Ben, and Jason Mraz here too in 2003 and I got to meet Jason Mraz after his set too, and it was pretty cool to meet him. I asked him if he likes DMB and he said I (him) sure do, and this was right around the time Jason was starting to get known too. So I'll be in Charleston with bells and whistles on I can't wait to see them in Charleston and in Charlotte the a couple days after too.. It should be fun to see them in Charleston, I like Joe Riley but its goin to be hot as crap down there on the Forth of July..

Definitely - come on down. The venue is small but it's a nice baseball stadium. PM me if you want some ideas on where to stay.

I'm thinking of leaving work around 3-4pm on that Thursday, driving up and getting there by midnight.
Add another UT'er in the mix, haha. I'll be at this show as well. The 4th in Charleston is good times!!

I'm wondering where all of you UTers live currently (if you're still students) cause whenever I drive around I seem to be the only person blasting DMB on Volunteer Blvd.

I'm in the Woodlands off Cherokee Trail ... you guys/gals?

Wondering if anyone knows how the venue will be set up. Someone mentioned that the stage will be set up in the outfield. If it is behind home plate it might be better to request the reserved seating for a better view of the stage??? If in the outfield those seats would be terrible I suppose. If anyone who has been to a concert there before knows the answer that would be great. Thanks

hey!! to answer the question the best of my remembering to a my knowledge the last time I was there was in 2003, the stage was set up in the outfield I believe. Like I said this hard to picture without seeing it in front of me though. Either way I like this idea for them to play here, I like it set up on a baseball field. I can't wait to see a show here again it should be alot of fun again.

    Warehouse member indeed.

Oh and the stage will most likely be in the outfield...baseball stadiums don't like their infields to be touched.

I almost passed out when I read that they are going to be here!

I live so close to the stadium I will be able to hear it from my condo, although that doesn't mean that I won't be getting tickets!!! I'm SO excited about this!!!!!! It's about time they came here!
