Office Annoyances

1. People who leave the water cooler empty
2. People who go to the water cooler, see that it is empty and procede to look for another water cooler with water in it instead of replacing the water in the empty one - I watched my boss walk to 3 different coolers before giving up one day and going back to her desk empty cup in hand. she isn't dainty....she could have handled replacing the water jug

I dont like it when i'm working in my office and everyone else is outside my office having a field day... Yelling & laughing & yelling & laughing. And if i'm on the phone it makes it worse becuase I cant hear the person I'm talking to.

I also dislike it when I shut my office door to do work & people question why i have my door closed. I cant win

I get annoyed when people complain about being "stuck" at work when they are actually posting on ants half the day.

- Someone near you on speaker phone for a conference call when someone else near that person is on the same call and you can hear them talking from their desk and through the phone that’s on speaker.

oh man, the list could go on forever, one of my top annoyances is people POUNDING on their keyboards when they type, I can't stand it.

I also can't stand being interrupted for nonsense, I don't care what the scars in your freaking nose look like from your surgery (no joke, she wanted me to look up her nose!) or any other stupid reason, leave me alone.

I've found that if I wear my headphones, which we're allowed to do, I drone out the entire office with my Sirius. It works wonders.

If only there was a way I could block incoming phone calls, I'd be all set.

The kid across the hall from me Freshmen year used to blast UB40's "Red, Red, Wine" at full blast on his 2 15 inch subs when he would leave for class. He would just put it on repeat, and lock the door.

It was funny the first time.

I also hate the people who, when I am on the phone with them and ask them a question and they are looking for the answer hum the enitre time. or even worse, say do da do, do dat do over and over again. I swear, there is a girl who i talk to who does this

esp when everyone complains that you are sick and shouldn't be at work if you are sick because you are going to make the rest of us sick blah blah blah but you get shit on from the boss for calling in sick - not fair to the team, etc

I loved my legislative internship...nothing like strolling in hungover at 10:30 when I was supposed to be there before 9 on friday mornings. Most of the time my boss wouldn't even come in on Fridays. By the end of the internship, we just acknowledged that Fridays were completely optional. And the $3,500 stipend was pretty sweet for a college sophomore.

One thing I did hate tho was what I like to call the Bill Lumburgh Complex. You know, it's the tone of voice used and certain key phrases. For example, my uber boss (the assemblyman) had that way about him. One time he says, "Ummm, yeahhh, if you could go get me some lunch now, that would be superb. Thaaank you sir." Very annoying.

Another annoyance is being the only guy in an office full of women. Gentlemen, there is no greater torture than this...sure, you think it's going to be awesome...then you find out the hard way.

The one thing that is REALLY bothering me right now is that there seems to be a serious lack of hygiene with people at work. I have seen a number of people in the restroom that leave WITHOUT washing their hands when they are done doing their business (1 or 2). I flatly refuse to shake anyone's hand at work now. Disgusting!
