I think with the expanded D-league in the NBA, they should have more rounds to the draft and allow players to go straight to the NBA. I do think if players choose the college route, they should be required to stay at least two years, make the players who choose that avenues stay eligible for longer than a month. Would it be perfect and without problems, of course not.

So a borderline NBA prospect, maybe projected 2nd round out of high school, who plays a year and develops into a 1st round pick after their freshman year should have to come back to school because they didn't want to make a bad decision by initially coming out from high school? Player's rights!

Any sort of argument for mandatory two years of college before the NBA that involves any itineration of "players' best interest" should never be taken seriously.

I think almost forcing players to go to one year of college is awful, and not helpful for almost everyone involved (except maybe K and Cal )

I think if they choose the college route then they should have to stay two years, but I do not think they should have to choose the college route.

I have no problem with the NBA saying you have to be X years old before we're going to employ you and pay you millions of dollars but the "go to the pros immediately out of high school or go to college/international for 2 years" is the worst of both sides.

it's almost the same thing though. no NBA team is going to take you if you just sit out for until you're X. thus, that leaves you playing for Y and Z in college/international
