Update on my Bon Jovi dilemma from a few weeks ago. TM wouldn't refund my ticket so I'm going to see Bon Jovi tonight

Truthfully, I'm not even mad. I'm a little excited about it. I mean he is a pretty big name in music (or at least once was) and he's got some good classic rock radio hits. There's worse things to do for $20 on a Thursday night when your wife is out of town and you'd normally just sit around on the couch.

Maybe I'm just trying to rationalize it

I would go see Bon Jovi for $20 if it was in Austin.

The fact that Ritchie Sambora is no longer in the band is a deal breaker for me on catching Bon Jovi live these days.

Just added another concert to the list, going to see the Zelda Symphony of the Goddess tour in November, pretty excited about that one. Going to catch Billy Joel this summer as well.

Garth Brooks is doing a free show in Austin tomorrow. Have to try to pull tickets for it in 35 minutes. Kinda nervous. I think they'll go quick.

It's only open to Austin residents, so that will help a little. And they only announced the sale aspect an hour before the sale. Usually for the free Auditorium Shores shows, you just walk up and walk in, so I'm hoping a lot of people won't even know they'll need a ticket.

Dude - Garth for free? That's awesome. I'd definitely do that. He just did like 4 shows in Memphis that all sold out instantly. We happened to be downtown after one of his shows. I didn't fit in with about 97% of the fans out and about. Still would be cool to see such a legend.

I've already seen him twice on this world tour, but I just can't pass up the chance to see him in my own city, outdoors with the skyline in the background.

Anyone seen Margo Price? She's playing at a small bar literally one mile from my place and I'm trying to decide if I should go. I really feel like she's going to be a big deal in the country music scene one day and her debut album is really enjoyable.
