Ive always thought this show should be up there in terms of best put together setlists since Roi passed. That encore closer really fucks it up though.

This is a good set. Def gives it a run for its money.

I understood you were talking about just the songs/setlist, and it is not a big issue with me, but I fail to see what makes that setlist seem special compared to some of the other good sets of that era (if you are going all the way back to 2008). I take it that many who were there gave it many bonus points for the Dave voice / crowd support issue, and being MSG in general.

Yo I was listening to BW Fully today and most of the time I just stop at baby blue and I don't even make it to you and me. But today I had it blasting while doing math and I didn't even bother to turn it off. After you and me I just let it keep going.. then like a sax section at the end started playing and it scared the shit out of me because I wasn't expecting it at all. I assume it was Roi on the sax but I never made it to that part in all these years..

that sax part is what is known as #35. a little nod to Roi and #34.

I met Dave this evening for the first time at the REI in Seattle by chance. Got a picture and chatted with him briefly about Mexico. Wishing I had asked him about west coast dates for D&T this summer, but was a little nervous and star struck.

and grux was just a warmup that roi was doing before working on some tracks. they just happened to be recording when he played that. when they were finishing up the album, they went through their recordings and found that and then added some other parts to fill it out a bit. none of that was planned at the time it was recorded.
