Decent couple nights of D&T in Texas. Listened to the first night and thought it was a pretty solid outing with a good mix of tunes.

I'm skipping putting in for Nashville tickets. Anybody need me to request for them?

Tempted to shoot for Nashville, but I'm probably going to hold out for some dates out west.

I wouldn't go to Chicago if the tickets were free.

Surprised at all the opting out of the lawn for Nashville. I don't think people grasp just how small the place is. I'd like a seat, but I think the lawn will be just fine for both sight and sound there. Its going to be a very hard ticket with being a 6,800 capacity venue. Thanks for increasing my chances of scoring a ticket and not having to worry about shit for the next couple months

While, yes, the lawn tends to be where the younger, less responsible crowd flocks to, they act like the minute you leave the pavilion it becomes a Mad Max-like wasteland. Generally before the show starts you can eye people, find a good spot and enjoy the show. If someone is a totally dbag around you, give it a couple minutes to stop or go away...and if it doesn't...the lawn isn't assigned seats...YOU CAN MOVE! Ideally, yeah, they should gtfo, but really, its on you and you're doing yourself no favors.

I'm not defending drunk, disrespectful lawn crowds, but people can also stop crying and do something about it. I've been to shows, too, I highly doubt people on these boards are as prissy as they type that they are...and I honestly think a lot of them are ones who are a part of the problem and don't really know it.

I am with you. I just requested Saturday night Nashville and I kept lawn an option. I don't feel like fighting for tickets, just hoping to be confirmed and be done with it. No matter where the ticket is.

I also say this as someone who has "survived" the SPAC the lawn for a 2 niter. Everyone talks what a mess that is, but I had really zero complaints. When I went back in 2012, on night 1 there was this prick kid annoying my friends and I a bit. Know what we did? We MOVED AWAY FROM HIM...problem solved. That's the only beef I got.

Alpine lawn = way the fuck worse. Huge incline and the people in it are pretty rude and sloppy. It seemed pretty impossible to escape, too.

Deer Creek - I've had problems here or there, but usually its okay and some of them make for funny stories. And I grabbed a ticket n2 2015 cuz I wasn't originally gonna go, got a spot a little mid high on the Boyd/Tim side and had a great time, uninterrupted and not bothered at all. Good view, good sound.

    bingo.

I just looked it up. Deer Creek seats 6,000 in its pavilion. Another 800 is a mere couple of rows at best. That's the FURTHEST back you can possibly be in the entire place. Alpine's pavilion seats 7,500...so you're guaranteed to be closer than the back row of Alpine (Which really is pretty good seats)

Thats good to hear on SPAC. I went last year for the first time and had seats both nights, but everyone talks about that lawn like it is the worst thing ever.

On the bolded part for Alpine... that was my experience in the Alpine pit in 2015.

It's funny that people seem to have no fear of the pit which is lawn attitudes in tighter quarters and ramped up many degrees

But you're so close to Dave you can feel the LoVE.

Maybe I'm different than most, but I like being closer more to see the people on stage better and see their interactions. I feel like I miss that part of the experience from the lawn. Its not that the lawn is some unruly place that I am afraid of.

At SPAC, were you close to the front of the lawn? It did seem that sight lines would be pretty bad from the top of the lawn because the balcony would be in the way.

On N1 I was in WH preferred, the second night I got in early and was right on the fence. Good sight and sound, polite people all around too. I also caught sight of that drunk as hell/high as a kite dancer guy from AC caravan video that went around the year before doin his thing to Rapunzel

That makes sense. Being right up front would be a nice spot since the pavilion really isn't that big

Well, I got Nashville N2, just need some tix for N1. And i'm honestly A-okay with pulling lawn if that's all i can snag.

Hilarious that this whole time people really haven't realized just how small this place is. That or they've chosen ignorance. Of course there's a shitload of declines! There are only 2,300 seats and most of you probably opted out of lawn. WH probably only had a couple hundred of those pavilion seats, too. Also, as someone pointed out (and I've been saying all along). The very back of this lawn will be like sitting 3/4 up in the pavilion at Alpine.

So what you're saying is that Nashville's venue is only slightly bigger than Jerry World's Cowboy Stadium?

Hilarious that this whole time people really haven't realized just how small this place is. That or they've chosen ignorance. Of course there's a shitload of declines! There are only 2,300 seats and most of you probably opted out of lawn. WH probably only had a couple hundred of those pavilion seats, too. Also, as someone pointed out (and I've been saying all along). The very back of this lawn will be like sitting 3/4 up in the pavilion at Alpine.
The fact that people were shocked they got declined both nights surprised me. Maybe they didn't realize how small the place is. These are shows where I wouldn't mind doing lawn. Save $65 a ticket and still have a pretty decent view compared to most lawns.

    Damn good spot
