Roddick had this shit in the bag, and now he's choking it away.

Go figure....

It's only the second service game for Roddick. First game was deuce, 2nd Hewitt has now had 3 break points. Roddick has been having a great deal of trouble holding serve 5-6 service games now.

I was hearing it on the radio...did the chair call Roddick a liar, or did Roddick call the chair a liar?

Eitherway...shut the fuck up and play.

Props to Roddick...seems like everytime Roddick is in one of these gut matches he loses...nice to see him ultimately keep control and win it.
    Incredible match.

    that was an awesome match.

I'm pumped for the semis....Haas is playing incredible right now, I can't see him taking down Fed but who knows. Roddick/Murray will obviously be an electric atmosphere.

I believe Roddick told the chair that the line judge was lying about the call he made. No one heard an out call so everyone assumed Roddick won the point, but then the line judge came in and said it was out, so Roddick challenged it and won, wasting a challenge.

I think he was pissed because the line judge lied to the chair about the call he made.

I just don't like him, never have.

He seems like a good enough guy, I just don't like guys like him that get over emotional on the court and have to yell after winning every point. I guess I don't hate him, I just don't like him.

Murray is just so downtrodden and grumpy on the court most of the time...better than the childish whining and crying of Roddick, but not exactly a guy that makes it easy to root for him.

I wonder how Roddick will handle having the entire 15,000 crowd against him during the semis...although it certainly seemed like 80% were roooting for Hewitt today.

    Now I'm sure...since I looked it up.
Logically, it wouldn't make sense to punish a player for a succesful challenge. Shouldn't be his fault if the umps make the wrong call repeatedly.

"Players will be allowed to make three unsuccessful challenges per set at any tournament using Hawk-Eye, plus one more if the set reaches a tie-break"

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/tennis/7305404.stm

It's basically the same as pro football, where a timeout is charged if a coach is wrong on his challenge...but if he is right, there is no penalty.

You don't lose a challenge if you win the challenge, end of story. I know this has been covered but just thought I'd add my 2 cents.

Still, I like Roddick. Always have. Who cares if he bitches and moans on the court. He wants to win and the uptight tennis crowd should just get used to it. It's entertaining. Plus, Roddick and Safin always have given the funniest press conferences.

Murray should definitely beat Roddick but it should be an entertaining as hell match.

Yeah, I don't know why I thought you'd lose it after it was successful. I think it might have been because that's what Patrick McEnroe said after that incident happened or at least that's what I thought I heard him say.

Roddick's press conferences are amazing. Like the time he lost and said he was going to go home and get hammered.

I'm hoping for a Murray-Federer final, I think it would be great. Federer is 18-2 against Roddick. Murray actually leads Federer 6-2.

The problem with Roddick is, most of the time he starts bitching and moaning, he loses focus on the match. McEnroe could do that and it helped pump him up. Roddick does it, and he carries it with him for games at a time. For a player that 11-12 is pretty awful (Hewitt was 29-13 for comparison sake).

I think that's why Roddick takes such a hit with tennis fans, because his attitude on the court isn't simply entertaining fans, it's impacting his play.

The Brits deserve a Murray-Federer final. That would truly be an epic matchup at Wimbledon. I wonder how Federer will deal with the entire crowd being against him...he isn't used to that.

Murray in 4, Federer in 3 tomorrow.

Fed will beat Haas tommarow. Roddick will upset Murray. In the final, Fed will drop the first set then win the next 3 something like 4-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-2

NBC, the assholes that they are get their choice of what match to broadcast. They chose Roddick-Murray. But, their coverage starts at noon in all-time zones, even though the match will either be 90 minutes late or even finished. ESPN2 can't broadcast the match. Therefore, don't watch NBC, don't support their sports coverage. Watch it online http://www.justin.tv/dinkdankdo
