Sorry, not MOST but a lot. MSG network and ESPN NY tweeted live streams to yesterday's finals game and there were plenty in circulation for the games leading up to it.

But yes the debate is dumb. Guy was drafted so high because he can be a difference maker in defense right away. You can question a lot about him but defense isn't one of them.

At this point, I'm just ready for the inevitable LBJ to Lakers move to happen. He and PG13 seem like they are staying put this next season, and then they both bolt for Laker Land.

    Maybe Boogie and DWade too.

DWade will never be a bench guy. Brandon is going to be a star, and o wouldn't be shocked if they try him at the 2 this year.

Chicago Bulls are the most incompetent organization in the NBA. Can't believe Jimmy is gone. Can't stand Bulls management. Hoiberg and his system wont work and they're going all in with this shit now. Ughhh.

he's going to be a fine defender but it's not going to be "right away"

needs plenty of seasoning/conditioning/weight training before he can set foot on an NBA floor for 82 games.

that's no reason to avoid drafting a guy; plenty of people have needed time. it's just not going to be "right away"

Certainly not the norm, but yeah, the bolded has been said many times before and been way off.

That tweet really isn't that bad. He averaged 6 points a game for the worst team in the league his rookie year. He has turned out great, but he definitely needed seasoning.

It's pretty bad. Giannis was a pretty significant contributor in year two.

1 to 2 years before he's even playing minutes...

He was playing significant minutes in his rookie season.

It doesn't considering how unbelievably thin their bench would be. I don't know if it gets them past Cleveland.

It doesn't, GSW is already winning the NBA Finals unless they have injuries, that has been established. It does improve the Celtics drastically though.

which, by the way, is precisely what they should do

this "everybody should just try to be awful until the warriors and/or cavs split up" is faux-intelligentsia bullshit

Warriors have a lot of questions surrounding their bench coming up. If they lose Iguodala, Livingston and Pachulia, they're suddenly a much different team.

If we can get an actual basketball person to run things then I'm fine with this. If all that happens is Steve Mills -- no resume, friend of Dolan -- takes over basketball operations... we are fucked sideways.

I don't think those days ever left actually.

It is going to be great watching Dolan fuck this up though.

Best part about it is that they just picked up a two-year option on Phil.

This is the best part, because Dolan is the only one who feels the effects. Win win.

By maxing out Carmelo and giving him a no trade clause? Okay.

Also, Dolan hired Phil because he was a big star who could be the fall guy when he failed. Sounds exactly like what you were describing in the original post I quoted. Dolan never had any interest in actually winning when he hired Phil.
