Quickdraw, which lets you aim faster and let's you toss grenades extremely quick at Pro.

Hardline, which as everyone knows is your 1 kill less to streak. Pro I think counts 2 assists as a kill, and I promise you there's going to be alot of assists this time around.

Blast Shield, which is just like MW2s. No clue what Pro does though.

I don't remember the others because I didn't unlock them, but it's not a huge tradeoff to take Assassin given the selection. Quickdraw is a pretty good perk though.

Well Hardline loses almost all of it's value if you're using the Support package, and really only has benefit in the Specialist Class if you use it as your first additional perk.

I know it's because it's new and I have to get used to it, but I can barely maintain a 1 k/d right now. I had a 3.22 or something in Black Ops, but you really struggle at the beginning since the killstreaks are more prevalent and it's harder to get away from them without the option to buy the perks right off top.

I played a good few hours though and it's really fun. They also went the Halo 2 route with the chat. You can actually hear the enemy team if you're close enough to them, without any perk. So you'll want to make sure you mute the other team if you strategize, or just don't want to let them know how mad they're really making you lol.

Not a sucker at all, it's well worth it.

You're getting every map pack they release. Not only that, you're getting it early. They're going to do the map packs in the same way: 5 or so maps, every few months. But with Elite, you will be getting new content constantly. Those 5 maps may go up on Elite one every week or so, leading up to when the map pack goes up for sale for non-Elite members.

You also get access to everything on the CoD Elite site. It's in-depth stats, a way to connect with other players, and contests you can sign up for for both digital and real-world prizes.

Getting it early, you get Founders Status, which has its own benefits, like clan double-xp (if we do an Ants Elite clan, we could use it on that, or whatever you want). Founders status also gives you Founders Status emblems, titles, and gun camo in game.

Other than Elite membership, you get the game in a metal case, and you get a collectors edition 100+ page book that chronicles the whole Modern Warfare storyline, with sketches, journal notes, etc.

And you get all of that for basically 40 bucks over the cost of a regular game, where 4 map packs at 15 each would be 60.

That's why they gave Hardline Pro one of the best benefits in the game, turning every other assist into a point for the point streak. Works really well with Support once you get Pro.

Nice sounds worth it. I just have a hard time saying no when they ask me to upgrade shit at games stop Hopefully I pick up on this quick because I have put 0 hours in COD wise online. The only one I have even played is MW2.

i already started a #antsmarching clan on elite, if they will keep those over after they closed the beta. there were a couple of people who joined, but please all who want to join. i think it would be cool for all of us to be able to see how everybody is doing, and play together in games. i am zellnerable on xbox. feel free to add me.

imo it still doesn't seem worth it since you can get streaks by taking territories and shooting down UAVs (and you'll have plenty to shoot down). I'd rather take Assassin or Quickdraw if I'm using Support.

they had a beta up for a couple of months to work out the kinks. i was able to join and started a clan for #antsmarching. i believe the site is closed now if i am not mistaken. brendon can answer that better than me

Elite was in beta for most of the summer. Started ~July or so. For Black Ops, which will still be a part of Elite, although Elite is integrated into MW3. Elite for Black Ops is more like Bungie.net for Halo.

But to the second part: yes, you could be playing right now, as it's been sold from a few stores already. Some by accident (some K-Marts got boxes that said shelve immediately), and some from the usual mom and pop shops that always break street date.

EDIT: And as dave said above, Elite was shut down about 2 weeks ago to get ready for MW3. It'll launch sometime tomorrow.

I heard about it too, but I seriously doubt you're going to see one. Between the shoddy spawns and having to survive countless killstreaks it's hard to put a high streak together.

Also, they also have the Halo 3 daily and weekly challenges, and strange enough there's already challenges up lol.

I just started seriously considering to get this, so this may be a stupid question. I'll be getting it for PS3. I don't see a PS3 Elite edition online. Does the Hardened version come with everything mentioned here. I may just be confusing the terms/versions.

yes, there is no elite version per say, this is the hardened edition. if you get the hardened edition you will have everything they offer.

Im on PS3 and was able to buy something that gets me all the map packs (what is apparently elite). I dont think they called it that at Gamestop tho. I could be completly wrong. Im just annoyed I have to wait till Tuesday night to get the game before the mall closes and then have to wait till Wednesday to play it. Im gonna be so far behind. :bang
