Zimmer is already on board. I'll find a link for ya.

Oh damn, I missed that, thanks! I knew he said he is pretty much done with superheroes and was going on tour. But I didn't know he signed on for this one, fantastic.

Wow. That's intense. I feel like there hasn't been a truly great WWII film in a while outside of Inglourious Basterds, and that one wasn't even grounded in reality.

last night's was actually shorter than the one that they posted online I think. Or maybe it was the same. Either way, it definitely wasn't any longer than what we saw last night.

I hope this combines the visual techniques from the second half of TDKR (Gotham as a war zone) with some of the tension/intensity-building techniques from Interstellar (such as the docking sequence). That would be quite the movie.

Yea no shit, and he made it completely his own with great story lines and cinematography. No other super hero movie even comes close to that trilogy

And by the way, Nolan's portfolio goes well beyond those batman movies. If you weren't aware, he's done some of the best original work Hollywood has ever seen.

    Re: Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk (7.21.17)

After seeing Interstellar in true 15-perf/70mm IMAX I am definitely going to make the trip to Toronto to catch anything else he releases in the format. I hope the screen in Toronto didn't do away with their abillity to do the full frame film IMAX when they added the abililty to do Laser IMAX...having said that I've never experienced anything as amazing as the 70mm scene from Star Wars VII in Laser IMAX so I guess if it's transferred at 8K or whatever they do for Laser IMAX transfers, I'm also sold.

Anyway, not much I don't like from Nolan, rewatched Memento and thought it was not great and won't watch it again, but the Batman movies (hopefully they get proper Blu-ray remasters at some point), Inception, Interstellar and The Prestige are all f'ing great in my book.

    Definitely looking forward to Dunkirk.

Cillian Murphy along with Tom Hardy and Hans Zimmer? That's just icing on the cake. Love Nolan. Look forward to all of his works.

Very much agreed about the resemblance. Have thought that myself in the past regarding other movies.

Cant wait for this. Love Nolan and everything hes done so far.

That being said, the trailer doesn't necessary scream out to me. I guess because nothing sticks out right away that separates it from your run of the mill war film. I'm confident that it will though

That being said, the trailer doesn't necessary scream out to me. I guess because nothing sticks out right away that separates it from your run of the mill war film. I'm confident that it will though
I am in general agreement with you...it definitely had some standout moments. Namely the messages falling from the sky and the guy who walked into the Ocean (Or English Channel?) to kill himself. But I wasn't all goosebumps at the end either. Definitely looks worth seeing though.
