And my status on The National has turned from meh to like a lot. I've fallen in love with Mistaken for Strangers and All The Wine over the past week.

sweet I'll check them out in a bit, not sure if I said it but thanks to homeboy who posted those they were tight. that singer has a pretty cool persona with his voice it's just like the perfect mix with that ambiance of music.

looking forward to these, videos are so awesome. the internet is becoming ultra-supreme

I'm digging this a lot. Listening to Boxer right now and I like it.

Singer reminds me of a toned-down Andrew Eldritch.

I had been hearing a ton about this band, and I picked up Boxer and kinda liked it.

I saw them at Street Scene in San Diego a couple of weeks ago and wasn't impressed at all. Very boring show IMO. their music just kinda sounded like every other 2000's rock band.

Is there another CD I should pick up by them?

I doubt I'd go see them live, but it's good tunes to work along with.

Yeah, it was at a festival and I caught them while I was waiting for STS9 to come on (which was amazing and the reason I went).

I'm extremely exhausted now, so I'll gladly do this for you tomorrow if someone doesn't beat me to the punch. But just so you don't set yourself up for disappointment, it's quite different from Slow Show and IMO, not nearly as good either.

I saw them twice this summer. They opened up for Modest Mouse and REM at the United Center and caught their set at Lollapalooza. Maybe it was their sound system, but they weren't anything special. They need to get rid of their lead singer, because he's so boring live.

I saw them and my love for the band went from an 11 to about a 7 or an 8..he reeeeally strains live trying to maintain that sound and the end result is not endearing to my ears, although some people love them live

I remember checking them out when Boxer came out and not digging the lead singer's voice, but today I revisited the album, and needless to say I am in love and downloading Alligator as we speak.

Green Gloves >> Slow Show >> Apartment Story is one killer three song run. The whole album is amazing, and I can't believe I didn't like it before.
