Blossom: technically no tailgating but everyone does - just keep it cool. if you get there late or have to park by the street you will have a very long walk to the pavilion area. I think sound is not as good in the lawn as Riverbend.....but you don't have the giant pillars blocking your view. only concern would be sitting high up on the lawn....then the roof slop will get in your way.
Riverbend: no tailgating at all in the main lot. do not park in coney island....horrible getting out. recommend parking in Riverdowns if it is open. take the second kellog ave exit.....exit 71 and come around from the opposite way and park in riverdowns lot on the far east side. you'll have a longer walk but well worth it after the show. i believe you can tailgate there. sound is great everywhere IMO but lawn has obstructed views due to the large pillars. after the show head back to cinci and hit up christian moerlein lager house, yard house, etc on the banks.

I'm not a Cincy native but visit there frequently. The Banks area has really grown up over the past few years. The wife and I went to a few Reds games this past season and spent some time at a few of the locations there. It was Week 1 of the NFL season and we spent about 6 hours at the Holy Grail.
FWIW, the Reds are home the day after DMB and the wife and I are already planning on the DMB show, staying somewhere in the area, and watching the matinee Reds game the following day.
