^ Yeah, I don't work for AMC like Jordan, but it doesn't make sense not to at least put it on the air and give it a shot.

Yeah, in that Holllywood Reporter roundtable, it sounds like they are already in the process of writing the episodes so it looks like its going to happen. I'm interested in Mike's backstory. If they don't have Jesse as a regular character in BCS, I can see him making appearances. Or the show possibly focusing on Jesse's family. I was really intrigued by the story of Jesse's family and they kinda abandoned those characters in S2 or 3 of BB.

Either way, if they have the same writing team for this show as they did on BB, I trust them to write good material.

Shit, if they let Odenkirk be a writer it will be an incredible show.

Mike was my favorite character of BB so would love to see his backstory.

If this is a prequel to BB, I don't think we'll see much interaction between Jesse and Saul. In Season 2 when Saul and Jesse met, it seemed like it was for the first time, so I don't know how they could have them interacting in the prequel unless they go non-canon.

To me, the only way to include Jesse in the prequel part is to show him unrelated to Saul, building himself in the drug game to become Cap'n Cook.

Yeah, but that would be kinda pointless, wouldn't it?

I thought the point of this show was to be a Saul prequel. If they focused a lot on Jesse building himself up to becoming Captain Cook it would seem more like a Jesse centric spin-off instead of a Saul centric one.

I dunno, I'm curious as hell how all this is going to work out. But yeah, that's really the only way they could include Jesse, to show him completely unrelated to Saul in the background of the Saul centric story.

    That's overly confident/optimistic. I don't think I've ever seen that done before.

AMC is terrific. They've had Ghostbusters playing on loop for 4 straight days.

Generally not a fan of prequels..something about knowing where a character ends up bothers me. I almost wish they would alternate episodes, one prequel, one Saul's new identity.

Or do it like Lost with flashbacks. He could be telling the story of his past from his new life, or something.

Yes, I would be interested in that. As long as it includes scenes from his new life. Either way, I'll be watching. I liked BB too much to not give this a shot.

A second season before the first episode even airs? Either the pilot must've been amazing, they're absolutely crazy or they're in a panic with Breaking Bad done and Mad Men about to end.

Have any BB characters, besides Mike, been confirmed to appear in Better Call Saul? I'm hoping Huell makes an appearance

so far just Mike. the others have been "rumored" or "expressed interest" but that's about it.

Re: Better Call Saul (TV Show)

    http://www.nerdist.com/2014/07/bette...uel-after-all/

"Much of the current talk has indicated the series would be a prequel, meaning a lot of currently dead people are still alive. But of course, if you go too far back, you can’t include people like Walter White because he wouldn’t have had reason to cross paths with Saul yet. Well, it seems thanks to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, everyone’s indeed on the table all thanks to a timeline clarification.

Series creators Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan have confirmed the new series will be jumping around in time, covering points in Saul’s life before, during and after the events of Breaking Bad. This means we could be crossing into multiple point of time within the Emmy winning show. So yes, there is totally potential for Walter White to show up in a plausible manner."

    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...overlap-716029

"One of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before Breaking Bad, during Breaking Bad, and after Breaking Bad. That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on Breaking Bad," Gould told the New York Daily News."

that's really the only way it needs to end.

i was hoping we'd see that in the finale of breaking bad, but i guess they wanted to be more serious so they didn't include it.
