I might end up missing this Camden run. I leave for the Outer Banks on the morning of the 27th. I can't see myself doing a tailgate/concert getting home at midnight then doing a 9 hour drive leaving at 4am.

looks like i'll be making camden my trip home this summer after moving to colorado. haven't missed camden since i started going there in 2007.

this will be my first year at camden, flying up from florida and taking some first timers to both nights. any words or advice, recommendations, or comments regarding where to sit, where to park, if security sucks etc etc? Also for this venue which is better, warehouse or citi presale? thanks

Speaking for myself I like the lawn at Camden. Usually have no problem getting a nice spot upfront near the middle and it's $30 less than the crapshoot that is getting seats. (especially if you're trying to get more than 2 seats together)

Security is fine as long as you're not being a jerk or are bothering others. Parking lots at Camden don't allow pop-up tents. Bathroom lines in the lots can get REALLY long. But the lots you want to be in are Lot 1 or Lot 2. (right near venue) Which can be hard to get to if you're not familiar with the layout of the area. The Campbell's field lot is fine if that's where you end up you just have to account for the long walk to and from the venue.

If you're getting a hotel, which I assume you are, you might be better off partying in your hotel and taking the ferry over from Philly. Word to the wise about the ferry is I would start making my move for the exits once encore starts as the line can be brutal getting back to Philly.

Avoid the pit. It's like swimming in a hot, sweaty stew... but that's just my opinion.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Penn's Landing last year and walked right to the Ferry. I was able to book the Hyatt this AM... again can walk to the ferry... for $179.... The HI is $199. I suggest one of these even though it's not in the center of Philly.

Those are really good options too as Yards Brewing Co (if you like craft beer) is a short walk from these hotels/ferry. You could either grab beers to go from there and bring them back to the hotel or do your pre-gaming at the brewery itself.

I'm staying with some friends so no need for a hotel, but i appreciate the advice. yea i have heard the pit is bad there... any thoughts on if its better to go with citi presale instead of warehouse?

Camden pit is only like one step above a third world refugee camp.

Lower reserved is the only way to go. And LOVE Sasquehanansnahanananaa bank center. People watching is phenomenal.

The bathroom lines always suck hard. HARD. Especially after Spaceman opens a show.

That's amazing. I missed it, definitely be on the look out for it. Anyone ever take a cab to the venue and back? Or too risky

We tried to two years ago. Cab driver wanted some outrageous amount of money to go over the river (like $100+) and we told him to fuck off. We've done the public transit to train to method last two years. It's slow, and somewhat painful, but it gets you home.

I usually stay in Jersey, which might be my biggest problem to start with. :/
