2 years ago, we got 7th row center and the first 5 rows were considered pit seats, which was mentioned earlier. I got 5 pit tickets this morning through the pre-sale, but it said no seats, standing room only. Not sure if the tickets stated that from 2 years ago though. I am curious to see how it will be this time. Also, I guess I don't remember the concert being that bad, however I also think it was because my then 12 year old daughter scored a drumstick. She had made a poster for Carter and he pointed at her and threw the first drumstick to her. Even though the guy behind us caught it, he eventually gave it to her. She had just been through 6 months of medical procedures and was finally given a clean bill of health, so that concert and her joy from it, made it pretty awesome for me.
I have been to several concerts here though since I live just north of Memphis. There are really no bad seats.
Growing up in Memphis, my very favorite place to tell people to eat is Rendezvous of course. It is in an alley in downtown Memphis across from the Peabody hotel. Other places I really like is Hueys and Gus's, which are also downtown. I do not know much about the Southaven area since the only time I go there is for this venue, but there is a cool places to hang out directly south of it.
