Can I ask why the "groan" for Irvine? I thought I was the only one not impressed with the venue

I used to live in Los Angeles and Irvine Meadows was on my "I'll never go there" list. Long drive. Pain in the ass to get in and out. Plus I hated GA Lawn. I just never seemed worth the hassle. Now with no LA, PHX or Vegas shows....I have no choice but Irvine and Chula.

I was at Irvine last year and I get what your saying. I'm doing Chula Vista for the first time this year. This is my last time doing Irvine. Its only got a couple years left anyways

Me too! I'm also from Phoenix and will be at both shows. Trying to find a decent hotel near each venue. Any suggestions for one around the Chula venue? Maybe walking distance since i hear traffic is bad?

No hotels in walking distance of the Chula venue.

Chula appears to have a GA seat option right now on Live Nation for me. I've never sat in the 300 level. But I've loved the lawn there in years past. Anybody been to a show there when the 300-level of pavillion was GA? Can you go back and forth if you wish or are you stuck with where the ticket is?

This would be my fourth trip to Chula from Denver and it remains one of my favorite places to see the band just because the people are so cool. So any help you guys have would be awesome. Not a lot of posting in here these days... so I'll be patient for a response.

I'm just not sure I can miss the #2setsDMB summer. Sorry, the hashtag thing was a little bit facetious.

I'm not aware of the 300 section being GA but if it is I would assume you can go from that section to lawn no problem. Honestly, if you enjoy the lawn I would save the extra money and just get a lawn ticket. Not really a huge difference between the two

Looking for an extra pair of pit tickets for my sister and bro-in-law. If any one has an extra pair I'd gladly take them off your hands. PM me and let me know, thanks!

Pavilion seats are sold out on Livenation. Glad to see a little more excitement from Joe Public for this show. Past few years pavilion hasn't come close to selling out until much closer to the show, if at all.

You should do it! I think there's a hotel about 6 miles from the venue.

I know, weird year. It's quiet but good tix are scarce and swooped up fast. I haven't found a crumb for irvine. Granted I'm only interested in great seats but still...crickets.

Hope yer good Adam, and hope to see ya there, I'm taking my oldest kid to his first :-)

I think so, I've done two shows at this venue from the lawn and both we're very enjoyable. If you decide to go just make sure to get there early as traffic is miserable heading from the North. Tough to be the tailgating at this venue too. Lots of fun and a must every summer.

I think he meant tough to beat the tailgating at this venue. Good, good times!

I planned a trip to this show, meeting a buddy of mine that is in the Navy and stationed in San Diego. Last minute changes, he will be at sea when I'm there. Any suggestions for me? Never been to a Dave show in San Diego. I'm a regular of Alpine/Chicago. Im staying in the gaslamp district in San Diego. Also, I have an extra ticket for sale (lawn) or trade my two lawn tickets for seating or pit. Thanks in advance.
