One weak ago, my voice was silenced.

My sexuality has been questioned on these forums.

I have been accused of having a fetish for dirty socks.

My hometown was insulted.

And through all of that, I kept my composure, tried to kill with kindness.

And yet, the moderators of this DAVE MATTHEWS band "community," silenced my voice.

One week ago I was called a "cock" by a member. I responded by asking why the member was bringing up cocks. Within minutes I was banned for one week.

The other member continues to post.

It was a hard week for me, knowing that my voice was being silenced by a faceless power, the toxic masculinity that our country suffers from.

I joined this community to post about the entire band, but soon found that only those that are in lock-step with Dave are given intellectual freedom. I feel that The Way Back Featuring Boyd Tinsley is a good band. Apparently since Dave kicked BT out of the band, I must pretend like I don't have 20+ years of memories of his musicianship, that I am not allowed to follow him on his next journey as he grows as a performer and band leader.

It was a hard week for me, I couldn't sleep after the ban, forcing me to call off of my job. For this, I was fired from my job as a volunteer leader of my local pokemon go organization. Upon finding out I had been let go, my parents lowered my allowance and asked me to move from the basement to the garage. I was forced to lower my Obamacare ACA plan from silver to bronze which caused my pygmy horse emotional support animal to be repossessed. I could go on and on, but that would only make my enemies happy.

I will move on now, maybe posting, maybe not. Who knows, I will probably get banned again.

I sure as hell won't stop listening to The Way Back Featuring Boyd Tinsley. I have learned a lot through this process. I will emerge stronger. I will love myself more.

I feel it was an outrage that BillyMiller was banned. He is an asset to this community. I do disagree that you have to be a Daver to be allowed to post, but I think Billy was banned a little prematurely.

Guys, let me just say that I am floored with the #lovingresponses I have been getting! I couldn't "quote" everyone's kind words, so let me just give a big collective group.

Looks like some of you haven't seen your #TrueReflections yet

I found it within myself to stand up and make sure my voice was heard, and I am already seeing others stand up and do the same. We shouldn't tolerate a world where anyone is silenced because of their beliefs or way of life. I have made a commitment to get out of my parent's house by the end of next year. I have also pledged myself to volunteer at least 15 minutes a week to a local charity. If we all made a similar pledge, we could change the world and spread the #love.

I was so motivated by the #love that I received today that I picked myself up by my bootstraps (my grandfather's favorite saying, God rest his soul), and went to a job seminar at my local mall. I met a guy that gave me the opportunity to work at a great company that offers the potential for me to make a nice living (and be able to travel to all of The Way Back Featuring Boyd Tinsley shows!).
